Whether you're posting photos to reminisce about your past trips or simply looking for inspiration for your next adventure, Instagram has become an essential tool for many modern, digitally-savvy travelers. Today, easyJet has even gone a step further with an app that allows travelers to book their trips directly from the social media platform.
The new app from airline easyJet, called “look&book,” will allow Instagram users to search online for a new travel destination and instantly book flights on the same interface.
If a photo on Instagram suddenly sparks your wanderlust, simply take a screenshot and upload it to the Look&book app. With its geotagging feature, easyJet will identify the image with a destination and immediately suggest travel dates and display several available prices. With this app, you can book tickets directly and seamlessly within the app as soon as you find a destination that suits you.
“We understand what users feel on Instagram, which is seeing a celebrity or a friend experiencing something really exciting but not knowing where they are,” shared Daniel Young, head of digital experience at easyJet.

“What you’re doing is relying on a picture, trying to figure out where it is, then searching for information on Google, finding the nearest airport, and then accessing the airline’s website. We see the need to leverage opportunities to bridge those gaps and make it a seamless process.”
The only drawback of this app is perhaps that you can't use it to book flights to everywhere in the world, as easyJet only offers service to airports in Europe, Iceland, and North Africa. However, the new Look&book app promises to go even further and will be a leading travel trend in the future.
