Discover the wonderful itinerary for women traveling to Thailand during August 2016.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is introducing a special campaign to attract domestic and international female tourists to new destinations in Thailand through a series of special promotions and numerous discount and incentive opportunities on products and services suitable for female tourists traveling to Thailand alone or in groups.

According to the Director General of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, there are two reasons why TAT chose August 2016 as the month for female tourists. The first reason is to celebrate the 84th birthday of Queen Sirikit. The second reason is that TAT wants to develop Thailand into a quality resort destination for female customers. Female tourists when traveling to Thailand, whether traveling alone or with a group of friends, can find attractive activities that suit their needs and desires. Therefore, TAT hopes that this campaign will be known to female tourists around the world. Moreover, they will have a new perspective on the tourism products that Thailand can offer.

In addition, another reason why TAT has chosen women as an important customer segment is because according to a recent survey, women are the ones who decide on family travel plans during holidays. According to statistics, the income of women globally is increasing and the number of female tourists to Thailand has been growing in recent times, with an average increase of 11.4% from 2007 to 2014.

Several studies have shown that female tourists like to travel to beaches, enjoy spa services and enjoy Thai cuisine, but they are more concerned about safety and privacy than male tourists. To solve this problem, TAT has collaborated with airlines, hotels, resorts, spas and domestic travel companies to launch extremely attractive activities with countless special discounts and exclusive benefits for female tourists traveling to Thailand in August this year.

To promote the above campaign, TAT has introduced 5 different concepts suitable for women. These are: Beautiful Look, Beautiful Shape, Beautiful Mind, Beautiful Retreat, and Beautiful Experience. All of the above concepts are included in the program to design preferential product and service packages, suitable for the needs of women when traveling to Thailand.

The campaign highlights include a women’s golf tournament, celebrity guests coming to Thailand to participate in the opening ceremony, Thailand through the eyes of celebrities from around the world, Thai textile fashion, products exclusively for women or mobile applications about women’s journeys to Thailand, etc. TAT has designed a dedicated website for the above campaign as follows:www.tourismthailand.org/womensjourney

With the desire to widely promote the campaign to a large number of female tourists in Vietnam, TAT, the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, together with 4 airlines (Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Nok Air and AirAsia) with flights between Vietnam - Thailand - Vietnam, are participating in the project of distributing 4,000 lucky draw tickets to female tourists traveling to Thailand from August 1 to 31, 2016. Each female tourist traveling to Thailand during this period, when checking in at the counters of the four airlines mentioned above, will receive 1 lucky draw ticket, the tourist will fill in personal information and put it in the lucky ballot box. After the program ends, TAT and representatives of the above airlines will together choose 2 tickets to find 2 lucky guests to win a 4-day, 3-night tour for 2 people, traveling to Phuket or Chiang Mai, Thailand.
