The strong passion of the BMW community, along with impressive models like the X7, has helped solidify the brand's position in the automotive industry. Travellive conducted a special interview with Mr. Wong Kah Keen (KK Wong) - President of BMW Clubs Asia, to better understand the factors that make BMW different.

Can you share your first impressions of the BMW brand? What makes BMW different from other luxury car brands on the market?

For me, BMW delivers powerful energy, superb handling, and a strong connection with the driver. Whether you're experiencing the BMW 3 Series, the 7 Series, or the X7, you'll always feel the captivating sporty DNA, true to the spirit of "Sheer Driving Pleasure." The brand's long history and reputation set it apart. Its iconic design with prominent lines and sharp angles makes BMWs easily recognizable. Its heritage in motorsport design also highlights the brand. Each car not only offers a perfect driving experience but also reflects the owner's unique personality.

We understand you are also the President of BMW Clubs Asia. In your opinion, what has helped the BMW brand build and maintain this community?

That's the immense passion the members have for BMW. I believe the BMW Car Club is the world's largest car club with a huge community of fans. This stems from the brand's history and the love BMW enthusiasts have for their cars, something that money can't buy.

Apparently, the BMW X7 is his favorite car. So, what impressed him most about this SAV?

There are many highlights about the X7 that I'd like to share. When I first saw and test-drove it, I was impressed by its large size and spacious interior. However, the X7 still handles smoothly, true to BMW's character. It not only has an impressive appearance but also combines power and stability when driving, along with a distinctive style on the go.

What are 5 things you like most about the BMW X7?

First, the BMW X7 boasts a completely new design that is very luxurious and modern. The interior is meticulously handcrafted, especially the crystal details, creating an extremely classy and visually stunning feel.

Secondly, under the hood is a twin-turbo gasoline engine combined with the xDrive system, which helps the car operate smoothly and flexibly in all conditions.

Thirdly, I particularly like the X7's rear-wheel steering system. This feature helps the car maintain stability and balance well when cornering sharply. The panoramic sunroof is also a highlight, creating a spacious feel.

Two other features not to be overlooked are the advanced air suspension system, which ensures a smooth ride on rough roads. Combined with this is the perfect weight distribution, resulting in seamless handling and an excellent driving experience.

Can you share one of your most memorable experiences driving a BMW? If you had to choose a place to drive your BMW X7, where would you choose?

I remember my first time driving the legendary BMW M3 at the Sorsbergring racetrack in Austria, it was an amazing experience. And driving the X5 through the Namibian jungle was also an unforgettable experience with the xDrive system. In Vietnam, I enjoy long road trips, from the city to mountainous regions like Sapa or Ha Giang; these would be ideal places to experience the BMW X7.

Describe how it feels to drive the BMW X7; is it versatile enough for both city driving and long journeys?

The BMW X7 is truly a perfect vehicle, capable of doing everything. It's powerful enough to accelerate quickly when needed and comfortable enough for the whole family on any trip. Even after more than two hours of driving, the car still feels pleasant, especially in the rear seats with their spaciousness and comfort. The xDrive system helps the car handle safely on various terrains, from city streets to rough slopes. When wanting to experience challenging terrains like dirt or mud, the car still operates smoothly without any problems.
