Increase flight frequency Hanoi-HCMC to 16 flights/week

According to a new decision by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) signed on November 30, many flight routes have been allowed to increase frequency, of which the flight frequency between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will be increased to 16 flights/week.

Specifically, on the Hanoi - Da Nang, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City routes, from December 1 to 14, flights will be operated with a frequency not exceeding 16 round-trip flights/day/route.

From December 15, the frequency of each route will not exceed 20 round-trip flights/day/route. Other routes will be operated with a frequency not exceeding 9 round-trip flights/day/route.

Depending on the actual situation, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam proposed adjusting flight frequencies to ensure meeting people's travel needs during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2022, and sent it to the Ministry of Transport before December 25.

Before flying, passengers who are currently residing/staying as well as departing on flights in areas with epidemics at level 4 or regional medical isolation (blockade), or departing from Tan Son Nhat and Can Tho International Airports must have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 by one of two methods: RT-PCR and rapid antigen test valid within 72 hours, from the time of sample collection to before the flight departure time.

Other passengers must meet one of three conditions: A person with a certificate of having been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, in which the last dose was given at least 14 days and no more than 12 months before the flight departure; a person with a certificate of recovery from Covid-19 or a hospital discharge certificate no more than 6 months before the flight departure; or a person with a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2.
