Taiwanese cuisine is a wonderful blend of the Teochew and Fujian regions of China, along with the cuisines of neighboring countries such as Japan and Korea.

1."Iron" eggs

The name probably comes from their black exterior and unappetizing appearance. In reality, they are made from quail eggs, which are then processed and marinated in soy sauce for many hours. This is a highly addictive dish in Taiwan.

2.Bawan meatballs

Actually, this is a type of dumpling, made from rice flour, corn flour, and sweet potato starch, with a filling of pork, vegetables, and egg. It's eaten with a red sauce. 3.Stinky tofu

This dish is a must-try in every corner of Taiwan. Don't let the name deter you from trying one of the most famous dishes here! Stinky tofu is served with a sweet and spicy sauce.

4.Coffin bread

In this dish, a thick slice of bread is added to create a box-like shape with a lid, baked until crispy, and topped with a generous amount of seafood sauce. It's often said that a Taiwanese chef, while studying Western cuisine, created this soup-bowl-shaped bread. One day, an archaeologist tasted it and told the chefs, "It looks like the coffin I'm excavating." And that's how the name "coffin bread" came about.

5.Gua Bao

This is a Taiwanese hamburger. It consists of two patties made from glutinous rice flour, sandwiched between minced pork, pickled cabbage, and peanuts. Thanks to the finely minced filling, each patty is full of flavor.
