Spring culinary highlights at The Reverie Saigon

27/02/2018

Considered one of the most unique restaurants in Southeast Asia, Café Cardinal is open all day, offering sophisticated dining and stunning views of the city center from above. The restaurant's menu is mainly inspired by classic French cuisine, with a unique twist between European and Asian cuisine, suitable for spring parties.

Come to Café Cardinal restaurant at The Reverie Saigon hotel this March and April, and you will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of the world's finest oysters. From fresh oysters from Vietnam to countries as far away as France, Ireland and Canada, with diverse varieties and exquisite flavors.

Muirgen oysters, sourced in Ireland and France, are beloved by connoisseurs for their sweet, beige flesh in iridescent mother-of-pearl shells. Bayness Sound oysters from Canada, meanwhile, have a mild, sweet flavor and firm flesh, perfect for a first-timer. And of course, there are two famous Vietnamese oyster varieties: Fine de Claire oysters from Nha Trang and Pacific oysters from Ha Long Bay.

In addition to oysters served fresh on ice, Café Cardinal also offers hot oyster favorites like Rockefeller (grilled oysters with parsley, fried onions and breadcrumbs), Mornay (baked oysters with béchamel sauce, gruyere cheese and white pepper), or Fabrice (steamed oysters with minced tomatoes, capers and olives).
