On September 29, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) in Taiwan announced that, starting from October 13, visitors to Taiwan will no longer need to quarantine but only need to self-monitor their health for 7 days. Taiwan also officially opened its doors to all tourists starting from October 13. Accordingly, the portal to receive free e-visa registration for Vietnamese citizens was also reopened, and visa exemptions for citizens who meet the conditions were also restored.
Mr. Derek Chau, Chief Representative of Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Vietnam.
On this occasion, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Vietnam also launched the creative playground "Touching Taiwan" with the activity of designing T-shirts with OhBear - a cartoon character, and also a friendly ambassador of Taiwan tourism since 2014. The image of OhBear was built from the original native Black Bear that only appears in Taiwan, with a distinctive identification of a white moon-shaped fur mass on its chest. This is a rare bear species, listed in the red list since 1989, with an estimate of only about 200 - 600 individuals living in the primeval forest areas on the mountains in Taiwan.
At the event, singer/actor Chi Thien shared his feelings about Taiwan tourism and the design contest to promote Taiwan tourism. Although he has not had the opportunity to visit Taiwan, he believes that Taiwan will be a destination that brings many interesting experiences, especially for a person who is passionate about the cuisine there. He shared that the first thing he will do when he has the opportunity to travel to Taiwan will be to find the best milk tea shop, order the biggest cup of tea while exploring the streets and alleys there.
For the design contest, Anh has an idea: he personally loves the image of a cute black bear, so his favorite design concept would be a bear wearing glasses holding a giant cup of milk tea and going everywhere.
The audience exchanged enthusiastically and participated in games in the program.
The Organizing Committee representative said that any Vietnamese citizen interested in the contest can visit Beatsoftaiwan.com to register to participate.

Through this activity, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau in Vietnam aims for the following goals.
First, Taiwan wants to introduce the image of Oh Bear - associated with famous regions, landmarks and tourist activities in Taiwan. Introduce to Vietnamese audiences attractive and interesting tourism products, especially for the creative young generation. In particular, Taiwan wants to raise awareness and opportunities to learn about the rare black bear that needs to be preserved. Finally, the contest will create an interesting and youthful creative playground for Vietnamese design/illustration talents.
