Meet the "king of detective fiction" in French literature.

In contemporary French literature, Michel Bussi is known as the "king of detective fiction" with his masterful and breathtakingly surprising writing style. He has won more than 15 major literary awards, and his novels have been translated and published in over 35 countries, some of which have been adapted into films. According to Le Figaro, he was one of the five best-selling French authors in France in 2021. Bussi's works published in Vietnam by Nha Nam include: *Please Don't Let Go*, *Black Water Lilies*, *Mother Was Wrong*, *The Scar on the Sand*, and *The Cursed Treasure*.

This meeting marks the launch of the Vietnamese translation of Michel Bussi's latest detective novel: Code 612: Who Killed the Little Prince?. The famous literary work, The Little Prince, with its poetic world and deeply humanistic message, inspired the author's imagination from the very beginning of his writing. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of The Little Prince's publication, Michel Bussi has released Code 612: Who Killed the Little Prince?, a must-read for anyone who has ever loved The Little Prince and the distinctive writing style of Michel Bussi.

The novel Code 612: Who Killed the Little Prince? is a quest to uncover the mystery surrounding the mysterious disappearance of the Little Prince, as well as the enigmatic disappearance of his father, the writer Saint-Exupéry. Readers often assume the Little Prince disappeared after being bitten by a snake… But is the truth really that simple? Have we ever truly wondered: Who killed the Little Prince? Also participating in this meeting was guest speaker Dr. Tran Le Bao Chan. Having studied at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris and the University of Caen Normandie (France), Dr. Tran Le Bao Chan is a literature lecturer and Head of the Translation and Interpretation Department of the French Faculty at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

She is the author of numerous research works on literature and education. She has also translated many French literary works into Vietnamese. Some notable works include: Memoirs of a Young Girl (Annie Ernaux), Jewel of the South (Jules Verne), How to Talk About Books You Haven't Read? (Pierre Bayard), Night (Ellie Wiesel), Don't Deceive Yourself (Philippe Besson)...

Not only is Michel Bussi one of the best-selling authors in France, but he also has a knack for television, with three of his works adapted into popular television series broadcast on major French channels. "Maman à tort" (Mother, You Were Wrong) is one of the famous television series adapted from Michel Bussi's work of the same name.

At the event on November 4th at IDECAF, the audience will discover the first two episodes of the television series Maman à tort (Mother, You Were Wrong). Afterwards, the audience will have the opportunity to interact and discuss with author Michel Bussi about stories surrounding the work in both its literary and television versions.
