The Vietnam Motor Show 2022 officially opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The exhibition will take place from October 26 to October 30, 2022.
The Vietnam Motor Show is organized in collaboration with the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) and the Vietnam Association of Genuine Automobile Importers (VIVA). In addition, the Vietnam Motor Show is co-organized by Asia Trade Fair and Exhibition Corporation (ATFA) and Vietnam Media Connection Corporation (VINALINK) – both companies with extensive experience in organizing the Vietnam Motor Show over the years.

“After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, the Vietnam Motor Show 2022 will return on a grander scale, worthy of being the most anticipated industry event of the year, where consumers and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to admire outstanding car models with leading-edge technology and choose the most suitable car for themselves,” said Brad Kelly, President of VAMA.
Many major players in the automotive industry at VMS 2022
The Vietnam Motor Show 2022 features 14 brands: Audi, Brabus, Honda, Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Morgan, MG, RAM, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo. Each brand promises to bring the public outstanding and unique car models along with diverse and exciting experiences.
According to statistics, the Vietnam Motor Show 2022 will feature more than 120 car models on display and introduction. Besides the popular models from the 14 participating car manufacturers, another highlight of this year's Vietnam Motor Show is the launch of new models and concept cars.
The opening day of VMS 2022 attracted significant media attention.
For example, the Audi e-tron 50 SUV quattro, Brabus G800, Morgan Plus Six, 7th generation Honda Civic TypeR, and the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee L. VMS 2022 also showcased the latest electric vehicles: the Lexus LF-Z electrified concept, Mercedes-EQ-EQS, MG Marvel R and MG4, Subaru WRX and WRX Wagon, 6th generation Subaru Outback, the all-new 2nd generation Subaru BRZ, the upgraded Subaru Forester, the domestically produced and assembled Veloz Cross, the new Volkswagen Touareg and Volkswagen Tiguan, the Volvo XC90 Recharge Ultimate, as well as the most advanced technologies that participating brands introduced to consumers.
A variety of experiential activities
The Vietnam Motor Show 2022 is the largest Vietnamese auto show ever held, with a total exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, and the indoor exhibition space alone reaching nearly 20,000 square meters.
“Through the Vietnam Motor Show 2022, the VAMA - VIVA Association in general and the participating brands in particular wish to express their efforts in bringing high-quality products that meet the increasingly high expectations of customers. We always strive our best to contribute to the development of the automotive industry and the Vietnamese automotive market,” said Laurent Genet, VIVA representative.

A new feature of this year's Vietnam Motor Show is that, in addition to car manufacturers, the exhibition also includes over 200 booths showcasing supporting industries and other transportation vehicles, such as VEAM trucks, Honda Bigbike motorcycles, Dat Bike electric motorbikes, and Dcar limousines. Notably, the exhibition will feature leading-edge transportation solutions such as Parker yachts from Yachting Vietnam and the Airlios personal flying vehicle.
In addition, this year's Vietnam Motor Show will feature spectacular performances and experiences such as Jeep off-road capability demonstrations, a super show of the 2022 Russell Swift, and test drives of leading-edge SATD safety technology. Along with enjoying the performances, visitors can also experience augmented reality (AR) technology and participate in interactive games for a chance to win exciting prizes from the organizers.
