The man traveled for 15 years just to try the airplane meals. The tourist from London (UK) said that he seemed to consider the plane as his second home.

James Asquith, 33, from London (UK), has been traveling for 15 years and enjoys airplane meals. "I love airplane food and almost live on airplanes," James shared.

His main job is running a travel company that offers rentals or property swaps for a period of time. His project, Holiday Swap, was born from his dream of traveling around the world. James's first trip was when he was 18. "The luggage I brought on my first trips was very simple. I also feel proud that I did not receive any funding to travel," James said.

James added that he had previously planned to save money to buy a house. However, this changed when he found joy in traveling alone and enjoying meals on the plane. James has now flown more than 2,000 flights but he admits that he is still like a child, always feeling excited and curious about the attractive food and drinks on the plane.

“The Japanese-style meals and wagyu beef on Japanese airlines are the best. The strangest meal I ever tasted was a leaf with sauce on Sudan Airways,” he told the New York Post.

James also said he does not like to use private planes because he likes the bustling atmosphere on flights as well as limiting emissions into the environment.

“Looking out the window and feeling the plane taking off or landing never gets boring,” he added. James will continue his journeys in the future and share his experiences with more people.

The job started from a passion for travel.

James Asquith told the New York Post that he doesn’t want to travel to every corner of the world. He appreciates all cultures and often spends time in one country to experience them. James added that his Holiday Swap service helps people save about 90% on accommodation.

“The excitement of each trip has always been with me, despite the fact that I have been traveling continuously for 15 years,” James said.

In particular, when traveling by plane too much, James Asquith began to pay attention to the carbon footprint of each flight. Therefore, James began to choose to fly with airlines that have carbon footprint reduction policies to create sustainability in travel. Currently, James Asquith is an influencer specializing in reviewing reputable airlines on Instagram.

"Just experienced Swiss first class tickets. After Covid-19, the airline has had a certain decline when it no longer allows booking tickets at the counter and only accepts cash payments. The flight service team did a great job, but the landing experience in Zurich was very difficult," James shared on his Instagram page. The post attracted over 3,000 likes and many comments agreeing with James' experience.
