The Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel officially unveiled the new look of its 23rd floor at a launch event titled “High Above Saigon – Soaring High Above the City”.
The 23rd floor is the hotel's highest-floor destination, situated above Dong Khoi Street, bringing together three distinctive experiences in one private address: Altitude 23 (celebration space), Summit (the highest conference and event space on Dong Khoi Street), and Hai Bar (the highest rooftop bar on Dong Khoi Street).
The launch event for the new look of the 23rd floor coincided with the hotel's 23rd anniversary at 88 Dong Khoi Street – a meaningful coincidence between the number of floors, the hotel's age, and the name of the new destination.
In this redesign, Altitude 23 continues its celebratory narrative with 360-degree panoramic city views, while Summit and Hai Bar are two completely redesigned highlights, representing the dual needs of modern customers: a place for effective meetings on the upper floors, and a place to enjoy the city as the day ends.
The unveiling of the new look of the 23rd floor on June 26, 2026, marks a new milestone in the 23-year journey of the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel.

The launch of Floor 23 reflects a shift in how people meet and connect. A meeting today is no longer confined to a conference room, and an after-work get-together is no longer just about a cocktail. Summit is a newly renovated private conference and event space located on the 23rd floor of the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel, positioned as the highest conference and event space on Dong Khoi Street.
Designed for focus and flexibility, Summit combines quiet privacy, natural light, and uninterrupted skyline views, with panoramic vistas of Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, the Bitexco Tower, and the city's sunset. Summit offers a private meeting space with natural light, panoramic city views, and flexibility for a variety of events.
Summit is designed as a flexible conference complex comprising five spaces: Grand Summit (197 m², a combination of Summit 1, 2, and 3 - maximum capacity of 212 guests in theater style, 180 guests for cocktail receptions, or 160 guests for round-table dinners), Summit 4 (90 m², maximum 80 guests in theater style), and Summit Boardroom (28 m², for high-level meetings with up to 14 people). Summit 1, 2, and 3 can operate independently or in pairs, allowing for simultaneous plenary sessions, group meetings, and networking on the same floor.

Hai Bar is a brand-new rooftop cocktail spot on the 23rd floor, positioned as the highest rooftop bar on Dong Khoi Street. Open daily from 5 PM, Hai Bar sits high above the city, combining an open space, natural breezes, and panoramic views of the City Theatre, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon River, and the Ba Son Bridge – creating a vibrant destination from sunset to late night.
The name Hai Bar carries three layers of meaning: “Hai, Ba” – the number 23 in Vietnamese; “High Bar” – the feeling of standing on a high floor of the city; and 23 – the floor where the bar is located. The experience at Hai Bar is guided by a collection of 23 signature cocktails – a “flavor map” of Vietnam, crafted from local ingredients, locally brewed spirits, and contemporary mixing techniques. From Northern spices and Central herbs to Southern fruits and flavors, each cocktail tells a story of Vietnam's land and identity, expressed through the language of modern mixology.

Located adjacent to Summit and Altitude 23 on the same floor, Hai Bar plays a special role in the event experience: the enchanting sunset over the city serves as a natural backdrop for welcome cocktail parties, post-conference networking events, or pre-dinner appetizers. A Summit conference can conclude with a sunset cocktail at Hai Bar – a complete experience without guests leaving the 23rd floor.

Altitude 23 - Celebration Party on the High Floor
Completing the ecosystem on the 23rd floor, Altitude 23 continues to be an intimate venue for weddings, milestones, and private occasions above the city. Spanning 260 m² with 360-degree panoramic views of Saigon, Altitude 23 accommodates up to 150 guests for a round-table dinner, 150 for a cocktail reception, or 200 for a theater-style setting – the ideal size for intimate weddings, anniversaries, and private galas, where each event has its own unique character: formal, private, and surrounded by the city skyline.
Altitude 23 also holds the richest memories on the 23rd floor. This space was once known as Night Spot – one of Saigon's iconic nightclubs in the hotel's early years. That legacy is cherished, "reborn and carefully preserved" in this new chapter: retaining the free-spirited retro vibe and social energy of its golden age, now recreated as a unique, personality-rich space for social gatherings, weddings, and meetings on the upper floor – where the most beautiful memories of the city's joys continue to live on in a new form.

The architecture itself tells the story. At the center of the space is an impressive circular atrium spanning two floors, with sculptural chandeliers cascading through the oval opening. A mezzanine balcony embraces the circle, allowing guests on the upper floor to look down at the party below – a "circular stage" feel inherited from its nightclub days – while a grand staircase connecting the two floors seems tailor-made for formal entrances: the bride's arrival or the arrival of the main character of the evening. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows with arched openings frame the Bitexco Tower and the skyline – transforming the city itself into the backdrop for any celebration.

The launch of the 23rd floor marks the third milestone in a series of consecutive renovations at the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel in less than a year. In September 2025, the hotel will introduce the Grand Opera Tower – a comprehensively upgraded tower comprising 120 rooms and suites, positioned as a “hotel within a hotel” with its own lounge area, The Salon, and a design inspired by the architecture of the City Opera House and the finest Vietnamese craftsmanship.
By May 2026, the hotel will become the first Marriott International hotel in Vietnam to achieve LEED Gold certification (LEED v4.1 Operations & Maintenance) – one of the world's most stringent sustainable operation standards, assessed based on real-world performance in energy, water, air quality, and waste management under continuous 24/7 operation conditions of a large-scale international hotel.
