Nha Trang Tourism Association has been developing plans to attract foreign tourists, prioritizing investment and modernization in resort services.
Currently, this locality has more than 27 international travel agencies serving Chinese tourists. Regarding tour guides, this province has about 350 international tour guides, but only 44 Chinese tour guides.
Due to the sudden increase in Chinese tourists to Nha Trang, there is a shortage of Chinese tour guides, so many Vietnamese workers in China have returned home to find work. Because they have fluent Chinese, they come to Nha Trang to apply for jobs in the tourism sector, especially as tour guides.
The sharp increase in international visitors contributes to the local economic and social development as well as creating jobs and increasing income for people through business, trade and service activities.
However, there are also some limitations such as: direct online payment activities with tourists using technology applications and smartphones causing tax losses; illegal listing and exchange of foreign currency on Western streets; traffic congestion, prolonged traffic jams...
