The Tich Dien Festival of the Year of the Tiger 2022 took place in the presence of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc. On the morning of February 7, the President, together with leaders of all levels of government, performed the incense offering ceremony to King Le Dai Hanh - the ancestor who founded the Tich Dien festival, then directly participated in the Tich Dien ceremony, plowing the first furrows of land, starting a new bumper crop season.
On this occasion, the President presented 200 gifts to local people.

The ceremony also recreated the scene of King Le Dai Hanh plowing the fields, performed by the village elders, followed by the village girls sowing seeds. According to historical records, King Le Dai Hanh was a person who valued agriculture. He went to the Doi mountain area of Chau river to initiate and personally plow in the first plowing ceremony of the year. Since then, Tich Dien has been considered a national holiday, the biggest plowing festival in the Northern Delta, with the meaning of encouraging people to work and produce.

This year, to ensure the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, all activities of the festival have been shortened, only organizing a buffalo painting contest, an exhibition of the town's ornamental plant association, and displaying booths introducing typical agricultural and handicraft products of Duy Tien town.
The number of buffaloes participating in the decorative painting contest at the Tich Dien festival also decreased to only 10, besides, the buffalo decorative painters invited to the festival were only from Ha Nam province.

Security outside was also tight. Although many people came to watch the festival, they were only allowed to stand outside and watch.
