Following its resounding success in Europe and the United States, the Van Gogh Multisensory Interactive Art Exhibition will officially launch for Southeast Asian audiences this year at the B1 Forum - Resort World Sentosa (Singapore). This visually stunning and highly anticipated 360-degree panoramic art space is organized by H&B in collaboration with Exhibition Hub, Fever, and Resort World Sentosa (RWS).
The Van Gogh Immersive Experience exhibition is coming to Southeast Asia for the first time at Resort World Sentosa Singapore.
Since its planning in 2016, the Van Gogh Multisensory Interactive Exhibition, organized by renowned entertainment producers Exhibition Hub and Fever – a leading discovery entertainment platform – has been instantly recognized as a top-rated interactive art experience (as voted by readers of USA Today magazine) and has enjoyed a resounding tour across cities in Europe and the United States. Collaborating with Exhibition Hub and Fever on this exclusive Van Gogh experience are H&B – a next-generation interactive experience provider that brought the installation “Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom” to Singapore during the peak of COVID-19 – and the upscale lifestyle resort RWS.
“One of H&B’s aspirations is to share the beauty of art in its diverse forms in Singapore, from sculpture and painting to vibrant digital experiences. We are delighted to host and launch this unique Van Gogh Multisensory Interactive Experience at Singapore’s upscale Southeast Asian lifestyle destination in collaboration with Resorts World Sentosa, Exhibition Hub, and Fever,” said Michael Lee, Managing Director, H&B.
Unique perspectives on Van Gogh's art world also promise to be an exclusive privilege for visitors to the Van Gogh Singapore exhibition.
This panoramic art experience is arranged in independent exhibition spaces with a total area of over 1,500 m².2Stepping into each exhibition area, visitors will be immersed in over 300 manuscripts, sketches, and paintings by Vincent Van Gogh, and become part of the colorful and emotional world of this talented painter and his masterpieces through large-scale digital projections that cover the entire space, stretching from the spacious floor to the high ceilings and large walls. One of the most notable features of the exhibition is the central projection area, where the digital artworks are arranged to create an expansive visual space. Here, visitors can freely admire or sit quietly and enjoy the feeling of being part of the magical world of painting by one of the most influential and beloved artists in the Netherlands.
The Van Gogh Singapore exhibition also proudly presents the first exhibition to simultaneously offer two unique experiential formats, incorporating a display area showcasing works of Japanese woodblock printing through stamp engravings and traditional prints. This ancient Japanese art form, which flourished in France during the 1880s, also marked a significant cultural exchange period when Eastern art entered and strongly influenced contemporary Western art. Deeply interested in this wave, Van Gogh found in the Japanese school (Japonisme) a rich source of inspiration and a powerful influence on his personal artistic style. This was also the origin of his later masterpieces with an Eastern flair, such as 'Geisha'.
In addition, the virtual reality (VR) experience, offering unique perspectives on Van Gogh's art world, promises to be an exclusive privilege for visitors to the Van Gogh Singapore exhibition. This ten-minute multi-sensory VR experience allows participants to explore the unforgettable journey of "A Day in the Life of an Artist"—where the inspiration behind some of Van Gogh's most beloved works is revealed, including Vincent's Bedroom at Arles and Starry Night Over the Rhone River.
This panoramic art experience is arranged in independent exhibition spaces with a total area of over 1,500 m2.
Mario Iacampo, CEO and Creative Director of Exhibition Hub, stated: “We strive to create an empathetic interaction between the artist, the artwork, and the audience. Attendees can feel truly immersed in Van Gogh's artistic space from the moment they enter the exhibition, and retain that feeling long after they leave. With carefully planned spatial arrangements, this innovative interactive art experience will help art lovers embark on a deeper journey of discovery into our genius artist.”
In the free-style art workshop area – operating in parallel with the art experience area – attendees can try their hand at being artists and create their own unique works, or recreate a painting already displayed in the exhibition. Beyond simply enjoying the creative process, participants can also recreate their artwork as an art projection or a backdrop for commemorative photos using digital scanning technology provided by the organizers.
