Locro
This traditional dish is usually served on May 25th, the day of the Argentine Republic's May Revolution. Locro is made from corn porridge cooked with beef or pork, tripe, sausage, peppers and various vegetables.

Asado

Humita
A delicious meal wrapped in a leaf. The dish is made from sweet corn, milk, onions mixed with spices and a little cheese. All wrapped in corn leaves and steamed or boiled.

Provoleta
Cooked in a pan or round dish, the dish is made from fermented cow's milk, additives added to bind it together, and baked with oregano oil to give it a crispy exterior but melts in the mouth.

Empanadas
The dumplings are baked or fried, filled with meat and vegetables. The fillings include chicken, pork, beef, fish, etc., mixed with a little cheese, bacon, corn, chili, etc.

Milanesa
The dish is usually made with beef or chicken. The meat is pressed into thin slices before being breaded and fried or grilled. It can be topped with an egg, cheese and tomato sauce or a bit of fried butter.

Choripan
Choripán is often served like a meatloaf. While sausages are usually made from pork, wild boar sausages can also be served in some restaurants.

Llama
While camel steak has a more rustic flavor and is less red than beef, it is low in fat, making it a healthy alternative. You can fry, stew, or just eat camel steak on its own.

Pizza
The thick crust of the Argentinian pizza is brightened by the tomato sauce that runs around the edges, and the dish is topped with so much Argentinian mozzarella that it oozes down the sides when eaten. The toppings also include green olives, herbs, and a dash of dried chili.

Dulce de leche
Bigger and creamier than Italian ice cream, this ice cream is even more delicious when topped with milk and condensed milk.
