In the joyful atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, Hanoi's streets are adorned with flags and flowers. Amidst the bustling crowds preparing for this momentous event, a noble gesture has spread, bringing warmth, human kindness, and sharing.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology has decided to open its dormitories, providing over 1,200 free accommodations for people from distant provinces and cities who come to the capital to attend the parade and march. This is not just a typical support activity, but also a clear demonstration of the responsibility and deep concern of a leading educational institution for the community. This decision has received enthusiastic support and positive feedback from the public, becoming a bright and humane example during a major national holiday.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology recently decided to offer 1,200 free dormitory rooms to people from distant provinces who came to the capital to attend the parade and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.
From August 30th to September 3rd, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology dormitory will become a "common home" for Vietnamese people from all over the country. With a total of 1,200 beds in buildings B9 and B10, the university hopes to alleviate the burden of accommodation costs, which is a major concern for many people, especially disadvantaged families or those living in remote areas.
The stay will last from August 30th to September 3rd, 2025, to provide the most convenient conditions for people to participate in the important event.
Specifically, building B9 has a capacity of 500 and building B10 has 700, all of which have been prepared to welcome guests. The rooms have been cleaned and equipped with basic amenities such as ventilation fans, lighting systems, water heaters, clean bedding, and private bathrooms. All preparations have been carried out quickly and urgently, with the goal of providing the best living conditions, ensuring comfort and safety for people during their stay in the capital.
The registration process has also been simplified to ensure maximum convenience. Those in need only need to register online via a provided link, with the registration period lasting from August 27th to August 30th. Priority is given to families with preferential policies, families who have contributed to the revolution, and families in difficult circumstances, demonstrating deep gratitude and special attention to those who have dedicated themselves to the country.
This activity also spreads the school's message: "Responsibility to the Nation - Commitment to the Community".
To ensure the smooth running of the support activities, the Board of Directors of Hanoi University of Science and Technology paid special attention to service and management. The entire staff, from security guards and dormitory managers to cleaning staff, were mobilized to the maximum extent and worked continuously throughout the holidays.
Key procedures are implemented meticulously, from receiving registration information and verifying identification documents to guiding residents to check-in and disseminating dormitory regulations. Each resident will be issued an access card or confirmation slip, providing convenience while ensuring security and order. Staff will be on duty 24/7 to promptly assist and resolve any issues that may arise.
All rooms are fully equipped with amenities such as water heaters, ventilation fans, clean bedding, and private bathrooms.
Furthermore, the prime location of the Hanoi University of Technology dormitory is a major advantage. Situated right in the heart of the capital, near key transportation routes, getting to Ba Dinh Square – where the parade and march take place – is extremely convenient. This saves people time and effort, allowing them to fully concentrate on immersing themselves in the solemn and proud atmosphere of the event.
Preparations are being carried out urgently to provide the best possible living conditions, ensuring safety and convenience for the residents.
This decision not only helps people alleviate their worries about costs but also contributes to ensuring safety and avoiding potential risks when having to hastily find accommodation on their own. The image of the Polytechnic University dormitory opening its doors to welcome people from all over has become a beautiful symbol of hospitality and solidarity.
