According to the route, more than 400 people departed from the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu, Hoan Kiem), wearing traditional costumes, passing through the relics and famous places in the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake. Hundreds of flowing ao dai, majestic official uniforms... painted a vivid picture of Vietnamese culture. The sound of festival drums mixed with the sound of laughter, creating a truly bustling festival atmosphere.
Traditional Vietnamese costumes are gradually regaining their position in Vietnamese culture.
True to its name, “Bach Hoa Bo Hanh” is likened to a brilliant flower forest with hundreds of costumes from dynasties such as Ly, Tran, Le, Nguyen… performed through the streets, creating a colorful picture of Vietnamese culture.
Young people in traditional Vietnamese costumes
In the troupe, there are activities such as: Nghe dance, Senh Tien dance, Bong dance, Xoan singing... Since ancient times, folk dance has existed as a colorful entity in the cultural and artistic picture of the Vietnamese people. Bong drum dance is considered one of the 20 ancient dances of ancient Thang Long that still exist today.
Many young people with passion and love for traditional costumes have participated in many parade events. The activities are expected to inspire and arouse interest in traditional costumes for young people.
This is an opportunity for young people to get closer to their native culture.
The activities to celebrate Tet, from wrapping banh chung, setting up the pole to displaying the five-fruit tray, all carry deep cultural values. The rituals and traditional art programs during this time not only help people review traditional values but also create a space to connect the community, creating opportunities for Vietnamese people across the country as well as overseas Vietnamese living far away from the Fatherland to turn to their roots.
The group ended their march at Kim Ngan Communal House (Hang Bac). Here, they wrote calligraphy on a long red cloth with the four words “Era of Rising Up”.
The four words "Era of Rising" are not only a slogan but also a promise, a commitment to a brighter future. That is the future in which our country will rise strongly, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world's great powers; a future in which every citizen can live in prosperity, happiness, and have the opportunity to develop themselves.
