Capitalizing on the show's popularity, Netflix quickly opened pop-up locations to promote it. The first pop-up station opened at Itaewon Station (Seoul) but had to close due to the complexities of the Covid-19 pandemic. After South Korea, Netflix launched pop-up locations for the film.Squid Gameto Paris (France).
"Pop-up" stores are a type of store that opens temporarily for a short period, in unique and unexpected locations. The idea for this type of business arose from small-scale retailers needing to capitalize on the increased shopping demand during holidays or a trending event. Due to the influence ofSquid GameWith such immense popularity, Netflix France capitalized on it to create a Squid Game experience center for viewers to visit and enjoy.


On October 2nd and 3rd, Netflix opened the Squid Game Experience Center at 12 Rue d'Alexandrie in Paris. The center was open from 11 am to 7 pm. Visitors could try two games similar to those in the movie:Dalgona candygamethrow the envelope Ddakjiwhich the unnamed character, played by Yong Goo, used to lure the impoverished into a life-or-death battle. Participants were escorted by staff in pink uniforms and black masks, just like in the movie. Each visitor to the pop-up must be a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people, with a maximum stay of 10 minutes. Additionally, visitors can wear masks for souvenir photos or participate in a paper-smashing game.



Following the instructions of the game master, visitors can descend to the basement of the pop-up bar to experience the second survival game.Squid Game- The Dalgona candy-splitting challenge. In the movie, players have 10 minutes, but here they only have 1 minute and 30 seconds to complete the challenge. If they can split the candy into the correct shape within the time limit, visitors can receive a winning prize: one month of free Netflix.
