Along with the closure of tourist attractions on land, ensuring safety at sea is a top priority. The Nha Trang Port Authority and the Vietnam Maritime and Waterways Administration have stopped issuing departure permits for all cruise ships since the afternoon of November 5.

The Head of the Nha Trang Tourist Wharf Management Department said that the unit has proactively implemented response measures under close direction from superiors. More than 300 tourist vehicles operating at inland waterway wharves have been asked by the Nha Trang Bay Management Board to urgently move to a safe anchorage. All departure procedures have been suspended, requiring no one to be at sea before 12 o'clock on November 6.

Floating rafts and tourism businesses in Nha Trang Bay also received urgent notices from local authorities to quickly go ashore to avoid the storm, eliminating all potential risks from big waves and strong winds. Not only stopping at relics and boats, a group of hotels and accommodation units in the province have also mobilized maximum human resources to implement a comprehensive storm prevention plan.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province said that since November 4, the Department has issued an urgent document requesting tourism businesses to proactively respond. Accommodation establishments along the coast, on islands and peninsulas are required to check and strictly reinforce infrastructure, tie down roofs and glass doors, and ensure absolute safety for tourists. At the same time, these establishments must review and count the number of guests staying for management, and prepare rescue forces, vehicles, goods and essential necessities to respond in the days when the storm makes landfall.

For coastal hotels, there are specific plans to move guests on-site from sea-view rooms or low-level rooms to safer areas if necessary.
