Within the framework of the program "Joining hands to prevent the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic", the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club coordinated with tourism organizations and associations to carry out the program "Discussion - Exchange - Experience sharing and Stimulating Outbound tours" on February 27.
At the seminar, the topic "Developing the African market and sharing tourist destinations" attracted much attention from travel businesses.

As a newly developed tourism market in Vietnam, Africa is still a little-known potential destination, despite possessing a unique cultural identity and some of the world's wildest natural landscapes.
As the second largest continent in the world in terms of population and third in terms of area, Africa has a total of 54 countries. This black continent has many must-see destinations such as: Egypt, Madagascar, Morocco, Tanzania, Kenya, ... but the most popular is South Africa.

The South African market in particular and the African market in general is a unique, strange and very attractive market, because this is one of the only destinations in the world that can bring tourists into the wild nature. Africa is the only continent with more than 40 large nature reserves with hundreds of rare wildlife species. No more luxurious high-rise buildings, no bustling cities, the black continent is the land of rich vegetation, of wild animals that are nowhere to be found, of extremely unique tribal cultural identities.

The market share of visitors to South Africa and Africa is still small but growing. Most of them are elderly people with an average age of over 40, have traveled a lot in the world and love to explore nature.
As a person specializing in operating and researching African destinations with more than 5 years of experience, Mr. Doan Ngoc Tung - Vice President of the Club, Director of MTV Travel shared at the seminar: "It is considered a risky market when investing in building tours because it is difficult to do tourism all year round, but in peak seasons like September to January, Africa attracts a lot of tourists because of its unique features that no other land has."
Mr. Doan Ngoc Tung - Vice President of MTV Travel shared at the seminar
Besides the most developed country in Africa, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya are also two destinations that attract a lot of attention. Here, hotels are often developed in the form of resorts in the forest and allow tourists to truly enjoy the feeling of living in the middle of real wild nature. In these two lands, tourists can directly participate in the daily customs of the tribes living here such as: making fire, keeping fire, weddings, etc.

There are a wide range of budget options for African tours, but most tours are priced similarly to European tours. However, the cost of safaris is very reasonable as most of the money goes towards wildlife care and conservation rather than commercial use.

At the program "Discussion - Exchange - Experience Sharing and Stimulating Outbound Tours", attendees also shared about topics that attracted much attention such as: "Effective Management - Steadfastly Overcoming Storms", Developing the Vietnam - US, Europe tourism market,...
