INNER STATES – Flower exhibition and the journey of self-reflection

02/07/2025

Inside Linhhuong Floral Design's exhibition space, art does not stop at form, but becomes a deep dialogue between people and emotions that seem to have been forgotten. The flower art exhibition "INNER STATES - Inner Journey" opens a door to inner states where emotions, memories and moments of silence in the soul are named through each flower work.

Each work here is a meticulous combination of color, texture and shape, reflecting the delicate aesthetic taste and dedication of the flower artist. Not an ordinary showroom, this place is built as a "living gallery" - where art can breathe, be felt and connect with the soul of the viewer.

With “INNER STATES - Inner Journey”, not only flowers are displayed, but also invite viewers to join a slow and contemplative journey. Each work is a story that may not be clear or complete, but is heartbreakingly true.

"I hope everyone who enjoys it stops and reflects on the things that cannot be said - the silent moments that contain more than words can express. The beauty of restraint, the power of holding back what is important, before letting it bloom..." - Ms. Linh Huong, founder of Linhhuong Floral Design shared.

"Not a Sad Ending / Relief" - the lightness of letting go

The exhibition space is like a quiet area, where viewers can separate themselves from the hustle and bustle of life outside, to listen to the very subtle movements within themselves. The theme “Inner Journey” does not aim at abstract and sublime concepts, but focuses on universal but rarely named emotions: an inexplicable sadness, a fleeting joy, a light-hearted ending, or simply things that one wants to say but does not know where to start.

The soft and expressive floral material, when combined with the emotional visual language, becomes more intimate and sincere than ever. Without ostentation or explanation, the petals at “INNER STATES” seem to whisper to the viewer with the voice of emotions.

Here, the art of flowers is not only about form but also about sensuality. The soft transition between light yellow, pink, milky white tones... and the rhythm of the arrangement of the composition create the feeling of a vivid moment "frozen" in time.

Viewers can recognize the very real emotions present in each arrangement. Sometimes it is a bunch of flowers blooming brightly like a sudden moment of happiness - coming quickly, leaving a bright streak in the mind. The pale yellow, pink and milky white tones blend together like sunlight filtering through the leaves, making people feel their hearts flutter - not because of anything obvious, simply because it is beautiful and vibrant like the joy they once had.

There are times when one stops in front of a corner of flowers with smoky purple, silver gray, and deep blue. There, the petals do not bloom but shrink, as if whispering something that is not yet spoken. That feeling reminds the viewer of the times when they cannot name their own sadness when their hearts are still full but their words are dry.

And then, there are works that evoke the feeling of an ending that is not sad, just as gentle as a door gently closing. Dry branches intertwine with young leaves, beige, sage green and pastel colors blend together, as if telling a story of a peaceful letting go - not because of helplessness, but because it is time to move on. That ending is not painful, just like a comfort: sometimes letting go is the best thing to do to start a new journey.

A special highlight of the exhibition is the dome structure in the installation space. The dome shape evokes a feeling of enveloping, like a cocoon protecting fragile emotions. This is not a concealment, but a way to preserve emotions, like flowers that will easily wither if exposed too much, but if cared for properly, will bloom at the right time.

The dome space also evokes the concept of “the home of the soul” – a place where each person can return, listen to themselves, accept all the incomplete parts, and continue the journey with more understanding and compassion.

“Things that cannot be named, wait to be understood, rather than spoken” - the theme of the exhibition, is not only a guideline for the works, but also a message to all those who are going through dark areas in their souls, there is no need to name them all. Just listening and understanding yourself is already an artistic journey.

“INNER STATES - The Inner Journey” is not just a flower exhibition but an invitation for us to pause, take a deep breath and look within ourselves. In a noisy and fast world where every emotion is urged to be neat, clear and rational, this exhibition is a gentle whisper: Emotions do not need to be rational, you just need to dare to feel and dare to hold it as a true part of yourself.

The exhibition “INNER STATES - Inner Journey” takes place from June 12 - July 12, 2025 at 55 Quan Thanh, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
