Hung Temple Festival prohibits tourists from using flycams

09/04/2015

Recently, the organizing committee of the Hung Temple festival has issued a ban on the use of aerial photography and recording devices (Flycam) in the Hung Temple festival area.

Mr. Luu Quang Huy, director of the Hung Temple relic site (Phu Tho), said: Flycams may crash if they operate in this area. Especially with millions of tourists flocking to Hung as well as Trung, Thuong and Ha temples during the festival, if these filming devices have an accident and crash, it will have a negative impact on tourists.

In addition, Mr. Huy also said that many tourists may not know about Flycam, so if they hear an object flying overhead and a buzzing sound, they will easily be scared and have a negative impact on their psychology. The ban applies to both residents and press reporters.

According to the plan of Phu Tho province, this year the official opening time of Hung Temple Festival will take place from April 23 to 28 (ie the 5th to the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month). To prepare well for the festival, the police, army and local forces with a total of about 1,000 have been mobilized to participate in ensuring security and order.

This year, visitors can also report information and concerns directly to the festival organizers via the 24/7 hotline (0210.3860026 or 0210.6551666). This phone number can be easily found on boards, signs, billboards... around the festival area.

Visitors to the Hung Temple Festival this year will be able to participate in a photo exhibition on the Hung King worship ritual; an exhibition on the journey to becoming an intangible cultural heritage at the Hung King Museum in Viet Tri city; and cultural camps, mass art nights, xoan singing and Phu Tho folk singing; an exhibition of photo documents offered by the whole country to the Hung Temple....
