Le Méridien Saigon (LMSG) hosted an exclusive launch event for its 2025 "Moonlight Glamour" Mooncake Collection, marking one of the earliest mooncake collection introductions among 5-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. The evening harmoniously blended tradition with contemporary art and culinary innovation, captivating guests with an impressive display of this year's mooncake products.

The highlight of the evening was the spectacular launch of the "Moonlight Glamour" collection, inspired by the dazzling beauty of Saigon under the moonlight and the iconic Ba Son Bridge, with the cake box designed to resemble a suitcase—an image associated with and symbolizing the beginning of journeys and explorations.

The launch event featured a mesmerizing LED dance performance, uniquely staged with the moon and presented to music that blended modern melodies with Southern Vietnamese folk tunes. This artistic performance served as a wonderful introduction to LMSG's mooncake collection this year, which draws inspiration from the prosperity, flourishing development, and vibrant colors of the ancient Pearl of the Orient and present-day Ho Chi Minh City.


Mr. Lars Kerfin, General Manager of Le Méridien Saigon, and Executive Chef Phi Cong, introduced the inspiration behind the collection. The General Manager spoke about the mooncake box design, highlighting the two lines: "Saigon Tales"—stories of a dynamic, modern, and integrated Saigon—and the luxurious "Saigon Luxe" box, representing a legendary and enchanting Saigon, all appearing magnificent and splendid under the moonlight. Chef Phi Cong then delved into the culinary artistry of the four signature mooncake flavors for 2025:
- Salted Caramel:A smooth and elegant variation, with a subtly sweet caramel flavor enhanced by delicate contrasting nuances, creating depth in each layer of taste and offering a unique pastry-tasting experience.
- Scallops in XO Sauce:The essence of East Asian cuisine is encapsulated in each pastry, with premium ingredients blended with flavorful XO sauce, offering a truly immersive experience.
- Roast Chicken with Ham:A flavor that embodies the artistic fusion of East and West, crafted with carefully selected premium ingredients and refined techniques.
- Black Sesame Almond:The unique combination of fragrant black sesame seeds, delicate almonds, and rich, savory salted egg yolk creates a smooth filling with multiple layers of flavor, offering balanced nutritional value.
Each cake weighs 150 grams and contains one salted egg, with carefully selected premium ingredients.

Following the presentation, guests were invited to a mooncake tasting session, allowing them to experience the unique flavors firsthand. The evening concluded with an intimate networking party where attendees enjoyed a variety of specially prepared mocktails and canapés, also created by Chef Phi Cong.

The 2025 "Moonlight Glamour" mooncake collection is now available for pre-order. The collection includes:
- Premium Box - Saigon Tales:Includes 4 mooncakes (150g each) for 1,388,000 VND nett/box.
- Luxury Box - Saigon Luxe:Includes 4 mooncakes (150g each) and 2 boxes of premium tea or 1 bottle of high-end wine, priced at VND 2,288,000 nett/box.
All mooncake flavors are available for sampling at the Mooncake Counter located in the Main Lobby of Le Méridien Saigon Hotel.
