The premium mooncake collection from Hôtel Des Arts Saigon: “Pearl Of The Far East”

15/08/2024

Continuing the Mid-Autumn Festival story of the Pearl of the Far East from last year, Hôtel des Arts Saigon, MGallery Collection, takes you on a visit to a beautiful moonlit night scene of a familiar landmark that has been with Saigon for many years.

The box design is inspired by the exquisitely carved wooden jewelry boxes of elegant ladies, featuring the image of Turtle Lake, peacefully nestled under the radiant full moon. All of this is simply recreated through the view from the windows of the Hôtel des Arts Saigon. This Mid-Autumn Festival, this special image will be depicted with delicate gold accents, like a serene moonlit scene adding splendor to a familiar landmark. All of this will be admired from the distinctive windows of the Hotel Des Arts Saigon.

Adding a cultural tea experience to this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Hôtel des Arts Saigon has meticulously incorporated premium Pu-erh tea into its traditional mooncakes. Produced in Northwest Vietnam, the tea leaves are harvested and processed starting in early spring, a process that takes nearly 40 days. Around September and October, when tangerine season arrives, farmers further dry and ferment the tea in fresh, juicy tangerine peels, offering a unique flavor.

Originating in Yunnan Province and gradually spreading throughout the East, Pu-erh tea is renowned as one of the most premium teas, with an elaborate harvesting and processing method. Along with its excellent health benefits, such as protecting cardiovascular health, lowering blood cholesterol, and eliminating toxins, Pu-erh tea also captivates tea lovers with its astringent taste, sweet aftertaste, and delicate citrus aroma. Sipping a superb cup of Pu-erh tea with unique mooncakes promises a fulfilling experience under this year's bright moon.
