Mix&Match - Do Manh Cuong's new mark

With each passing show, designer Do Manh Cuong turns himself into a book in which each page contains new and interesting things, always bringing people to strange lands of endless creativity. With each passing journey, Do Manh Cuong adds a new stroke to the picture of his career and leaves an indelible mark in the hearts of the audience and fashionistas.

Responding to the expectations of the audience and fashionistas, the Mix&Match show by designer Do Manh Cuong took place on the evening of December 27 at the SECC International Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City, satisfying the audience through 3 performances with more than 140 designs.

Recreating the French old town on the catwalk

On each stage, Do Manh Cuong seems to bring the audience to a strange land. That is why, when the space is still covered by the mysterious black color of the velvet curtain covering the entire stage, people cannot help but expect and wait.

The stage was invested in billions of dong. To build the old town space, the producer had to invest a lot to buy wood and design details similar to the real construction. 10 trucks were mobilized to transport materials to the performance venue to build the show scene.

After the curtain was pulled back, hundreds of spectators were amazed when they saw a poetic corner of the old town covered in brilliant yellow and green, but also tinged with time by its characteristic antiquity. The 2-storey high street was modeled after the French architecture in Hanoi with real size. The realistic and vivid image of the street was created by a team of 10 artists.

The stage is a bit of old Hanoi recreated in the heart of Saigon, in the chilly air of the last days of the year, creating an even more captivating feeling. And this is also a bit of nostalgia for Do Manh Cuong about a Paris sky still in his memory, ancient but always alive.

The catwalk is more than 70 meters long, simulating the old sidewalk with the stone paving recreated according to the original. The lighting is arranged with many different systems to bring depth and vitality to the neighborhood. Sometimes the viewer seems to be immersed in the heart of the old town in the middle of a peaceful, quiet night, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the city. On that background, each part of Mix&Match shows lines, layers with more intense colors and flavors.

Dress beautifully through many combinations

In each show, Do Manh Cuong always shows his pioneering spirit in many aspects. Opening Mix&Match, for the first time, a designer gave instructions on how to mix and match clothes right on the catwalk. This also comes from the needs of each guest to diversify their way of dressing and beautifying.

Do Manh Cuong also hopes that you can understand that an outfit is not just for wearing once but also has the ability to enrich the wardrobe. Through this, the way people dress is less monotonous, boring and can add more knowledge about fashion.

To carry out this idea, Do Manh Cuong chose 5 items including: skirts, shirts, flared skirts, and coats for men and women to mix and match in many different ways. It can be elegant, discreet or youthful, dynamic, seductive, and attractive.

The outfits bear a clear mark of the Fall - Winter season by combining many layers, many materials with different thicknesses and thinness based on neutral tones such as black, white, gray. Applicability is always emphasized. These suggestions can follow women to many places in daily life. The strength of shaping, creating patterns, and processing cuts and seams is still clearly shown by Do Manh Cuong through these designs.

Accompanying the outfits are expensive branded accessories from Hermes, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci... This is also one of the essential combination needs of Do Manh Cuong's guests over the years. Throughout the 3 parts of the show, Do Manh Cuong performed an accessory collection worth more than 30 billion VND on stage.

H'Hen Nie had a successful opening and closing performance, convincing with her full energy. Meanwhile, Le Thuy and Le Xuan Tien impressed with two boldly coordinated outfits. Vo Hoang Yen still kept the fire burning well in each graceful step. In addition, this performance also had: Thuy Trang, Le Thanh Thao, Hang Nguyen, Thuy Duong, Lam Thu Hang...

The attraction of bright pink

After the dark tones, Mix&Match is stirred up with 30 pink designs with many shades, diverse in shape, material and structure. This is the color tone that Do Manh Cuong promotes in this year's festival season and he believes that it can completely dominate in the coming time.

The pink color is transformed into many different shapes, creating an interesting journey that makes viewers exclaim in admiration. If the bright pink color combined with black tones brings harmony between two light and dark tones, the dark pink color with metallic material makes viewers unable to take their eyes off because of its prominence and infatuation. Meanwhile, pastel pink or youthful peach pink tones with designs on soft silk chiffon make fashion lovers' hearts flutter a few times because of the poetic and romantic quality.

Pink can conquer all girls, from strong, modern to traditional, discreet. If going out, we have a skirt with a shirt, accompanied by a charming coat, then at parties, Do Manh Cuong has a tight-fitting skirt that accentuates the curves or long, flowing, seductive dresses. And above all, Do Manh Cuong also brings pink to erase the boundaries of men's and women's fashion. A pink coat combined with a black outfit inside still brings elegance but is extremely attractive to men.

The materials used by Do Manh Cuong are very diverse such as: tweed, chiffon, silk, voile, lace, imported brocade... helping the pink color to cover everywhere and be shaped in many different forms and shapes. The highlight in this section is also the soft fur material made into shirts, skirts or arranged in curves, creating an unforgettable charm for the audience. Without any alcohol, the 30 outfits with a series of pink tones really made the audience fall into an interesting drunken state.

In this section, in addition to the classic bags of prestigious brands such as Kelly Hermes, Hermes Birkin, Gucci, Chanel, Dior..., a series of clutches and earrings with unique designs were used by Do Manh Cuong to decorate. The red-soled Louboutin shoes further enhance the appeal of each design, just looking at it is hard to say no.
