The ao dai has long been a symbol of the Vietnamese nation. Considered the national costume, a traditional dress embodying the beauty and grace of Vietnamese women, the ao dai has for centuries been an endless source of inspiration for designers to create unique collections.

With the aspiration to introduce Vietnamese culture to tourists visiting Da Nang city, on October 28, 2018, the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in collaboration with Risemount Premier Resort Danang, proudly hosted the first "Ao Dai Story" show. This program showcased traditional Ao Dai collections by Vietnamese designers, combined with artistic performances representing the cultural characteristics of the three regions of Vietnam. These included court dances, lotus dances, lion and dragon dances, accompanied by sound effects, depicting the distinctive features of Western Vietnamese weddings and traditional Northern Vietnamese Tet customs.

Mr. Ngo Quang Vinh, representative of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, hopes that the "Ao Dai Story" show will be an artistic program that contributes to introducing and promoting the beautiful and unique cultural features of Vietnam to international friends.

Nightly art performances take place at Risemount Convention Center from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 120 Nguyen Van Thoai Street, My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang.
