The Miyagi Week program aims to introduce ingredients such as seafood and Wagyu beef from Miyagi Prefecture to restaurant menus to Vietnamese diners. At the same time, the program also surveys consumer demand to consider and offer the most suitable prices, with the aim of bringing famous foods from Miyagi Prefecture closer to Vietnamese people.

Furthermore, in order to create a trade flow for Miyagi prefecture's products and continuously export them, through this program, brands bearing the name of Miyagi prefecture will be built and expanded to Vietnamese consumers as well as restaurants here, stimulating the demand for Miyagi prefecture's foods.

Previously, in 2015, with the strategy of expanding the market for Miyagi Prefecture's typical products in Vietnam, the "Marketing Support Program for Miyagi Prefecture Products in Vietnam" and the "Miyagi Shop" program at Aeon Mall were implemented. The campaign was carried out in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City so that Vietnamese people could understand the province's products.
This year's Miyagi Week will feature Japanese restaurants including:
