Marukame Udon – a Japanese restaurant chain – continues to expand its business by opening its 7th branch.

Considered one of the ambassadors of Washoku – traditional Japanese cuisine (an intangible cultural heritage officially recognized by UNESCO at the end of 2013), Marukame Udon marked its rapid expansion in the Vietnamese market with the grand opening of its 7th branch at 342-344 Hai Ba Trung Street, Tan Dinh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. The opening ceremony was a resounding success, attended by representatives from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), several government officials from Ho Chi Minh City, and many prominent figures in the Japanese food processing industry.

In their opening speeches, Ms. Le Van May – General Director of Toridoll V Lotus Vietnam (the company operating the restaurant chain in Vietnam) and Mr. Takuya Kubokawa – Deputy Managing Director, stated: The 7th restaurant, with its new style and wider selection of dishes for customers, is the second restaurant in the Marukame Udon Vietnam chain in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to bring customers more joy and authentic Japanese Udon noodle experiences in Vietnam.

Attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Mr. Luu Trung Hoa – Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1, Mr. Yasuzumi Hirotaka – Head of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) representative office, Ms. Fukagawa Atsuko – Deputy Director of the JETRO representative office, Ms. Le Van May – General Director of Toridoll V Lotus Vietnam, and Mr. Takuya Kubokawa – Deputy Director of Toridoll V Lotus Vietnam.

Sharing the secrets to the success of the Marukame Udon restaurant chain, Mr. Yasuzumi Hirotaka - Head of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) representative office, said: “Marukame Udon is a business based on the essence of traditional Japanese cuisine, with delicious food, absolutely fresh and clean ingredients, plus average prices, professional service, and a new business model. The Marukame Udon Vietnam restaurant chain operates under a franchise agreement between Toridoll Company of Japan and Hoa Sen Food Processing Company (Lotus Group) - a business with over 20 years of experience in producing and exporting clean food to the Japanese market.
