Mövenpick Hotel Group introduces seven-course gourmet menu to guests

03/10/2017

From October 20 to November 20, Mövenpick Hotel Group will bring a new culinary experience to diners with a premium 7-course “Bistronomie” menu at all restaurants worldwide.

The “Bistronomie” model was created in the 90s by French chefs when they decided to serve high-class dishes in small, friendly restaurants, closer to diners instead of the luxurious restaurants as before. “Bistronomie” then not only became a popular trend in French cuisine in particular, but also marked a new change in global cuisine. Inspired by this trend, the team of talented chefs of the Mövenpick group brought diners the “Bistronomie” menu with seven quintessential, creative dishes.

The menu includes famous appetizers such as “salade niçoise” (French tuna salad), “plateau de fruits de mer” (mixed seafood platter), “moules marinières” (steamed mussels), “cabillaud à la bordelaise” (pan-fried cod) to main courses such as “pot-au-feu à la bourgeoisie” (beef stew with vegetables) or “cordon-bleu au comet” (veal rolled in breaded ham and cheese with mashed potatoes and truffles), all carefully selected from fresh ingredients, elaborately prepared, to bring the perfect taste, true to French cuisine.

Committed to creating a unique and healthy dining experience, the menu has an additional option for vegetarians with the “pot-au-feu végétarien” (French-style vegetable stew). In addition, the seafood in the “plateau de fruits de mer” (French-style mixed seafood plate) will be selected and served according to your individual request. For those with a sweet tooth, enjoying a cup of Mövenpick’s signature Gourmand coffee with a piece of Swiss chocolate cake is an irresistible choice.

“When it comes to fine dining, Mövenpick is always confident in being a “pioneer” in bringing exciting, new innovations to replace the classic way of preparing dishes – a step very close to the “Bistronomie” trend,” said Mr. Olivier Chavy, Chairman of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.

As the person who came up with the idea for the “Bistronomie” menu - Mr. Thomas Hollenstein, Director of Cuisine for Europe, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, added: “Always listening and understanding the personal tastes of culinary lovers around the world, we have brought the quintessence of French cuisine in a completely fresh and attractive look.”
