1.Can you share your overall strategy?Volkswagen VietnamFor the Volkswagen brand in the Vietnamese market in 2016, such as expanding the showroom system, vehicle warranty and maintenance services according to global standards...?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Volkswagen Vietnam carries out the mission of providing Vietnamese customers with high-quality cars from Volkswagen - one of the two largest civil automobile manufacturers in the world and the largest manufacturer in Europe with outstanding quality, as well as segment diversity from small urban cars to large SUVs.
In 2016 and 2017, we will develop a sales system, warranty and maintenance services according to Volkswagen's 3S standards nationwide, such as 2 showrooms in Ho Chi Minh City, 2 in Hanoi and authorized dealers in Nghe An, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Dak Lak, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Can Tho, which will be managed by our General Distributor Volkswagen Vietnam Company. At the same time, we continue to increase the number of Volkswagen brand car models in Vietnam.
2.Car owners are very concerned about the warranty and maintenance services for their cars, as well as the spare parts and accessories that come with the car and must always be available when needed. Can you tell us more about the company's after-sales service so that customers can understand and feel more secure?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Perhaps in the past, our customers had to spend more time on maintenance and warranty of their vehicles because our distribution system and service workshop were not widespread. However, in the near future, we will invest and expand the system of showrooms and genuine service workshops in major cities nationwide. I believe that we will serve customers better and more professionally in terms of service quality and the ability to supply spare parts faster.
3.In terms of products,Volkswagen VietnamWhat car models do you plan to bring to serve Vietnamese customers this year?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:As shared, 2016 & 2017 is the year that we will have stronger steps to the Vietnamese market. Through that, we expect to bring in many new models to appear this year such as: the legendary Beetle Design 1.2, Beetle Dune 1.4, Jetta 1.4, Golf 1.6, Passat 1.8, CC Fastback 1.8, Scirocco R 1.4, Tiguan 1.4, Tiguan LWB 2.0, Touareg 3.0.
4.For the Volkswagen car brand, which car model do you like the most? And which will be the strategic car model of the company?Volkswagen Vietnamin the Vietnamese market in 2016, sir?"
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:All our models are important and have their own customer orientation. However, our goal this year is to focus on the Tiguan – a compact SUV with technology and design that is completely superior to other products in the same segment.
5.It is knownVolkswagen Vietnamwill participate in the Imported Car Exhibition next October in Ho Chi Minh City. So what is the reason?Volkswagen VietnamWhy did you decide to participate in this event, and what are your expectations from such a large-scale exhibition?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Volkswagen Vietnam participated for the first time in a large-scale and professional auto exhibition as a step to reaffirm the Volkswagen brand operating in the Vietnamese market with customers over the past time. And this is also an opportunity for us to approach customers, introduce to them the best car models, the best services.
6.So, can you tell us a little about your plans?Volkswagen Vietnamat the upcoming exhibition?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Volkswagen Vietnam will import and display new models launched in the Vietnamese market in 2016 and 2017. But we also want to create more surprises for customers visiting the Volskwagen booth at VIMS 2016, so the detailed plan will be revealed later.
7.What is the difference (or in other words, the competitive advantage) of the Volkswagen brand in the Vietnamese market compared to competitors in the same segment, sir?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:The three points that create competitive advantages in our products in the Vietnamese market are: Moral quality, economic efficiency and reasonable price. We ourselves constantly strive to continue improving product quality and after-sales service, while at the same time, bringing to Vietnamese people European products at Asian prices and suitable for many customers.
8. There is information about merging this brand into your group, can you provide more information about this as well as the reason why you own Volkswagen in addition to the other luxury car brands you previously held?
- At the end of 2015, Tan Thanh Do Group acquired the Volkswagen brand in Vietnam, with the potential of the brand in the world, the world market share and the quality of the brand, the technology of VW. We believe that we will create a new breakthrough in the Vietnamese market for this brand.
