1.Could you share your overall strategy?Volkswagen VietnamRegarding the Volkswagen brand in the Vietnamese market in 2016, what are the implications, such as expanding the showroom network and providing warranty and maintenance services according to global standards?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Volkswagen Vietnam is committed to providing Vietnamese customers with high-quality Volkswagen vehicles – one of the world's two largest passenger car manufacturers and the largest in Europe – offering superior quality and a diverse range of models, from small city cars to large SUVs.
In 2016 and 2017, we will develop a nationwide sales, warranty, and maintenance service system according to Volkswagen's 3S standards, including 2 showrooms in Ho Chi Minh City, 2 in Hanoi, and authorized dealerships in Nghe An, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Dak Lak, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Can Tho, which will be managed by our General Distributor, Volkswagen Vietnam. Simultaneously, we will continue to increase the range of Volkswagen models available in Vietnam.
2.Customers who own vehicles are very concerned about warranty and maintenance services, as well as the availability of spare parts and accessories. Could you elaborate on the company's after-sales service to help customers understand and feel more secure?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Perhaps in the past, our customers had to spend more time on maintaining and servicing their vehicles because our distribution network and service centers were not as widespread. However, in the near future, we will invest in and expand our network of authorized showrooms and service centers in major cities nationwide. I am confident that this will allow us to serve our customers better and more professionally, with higher quality service and faster parts supply.
3.In terms of products,Volkswagen VietnamWhat car models do you plan to bring to Vietnam this year?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:As previously mentioned, 2016 and 2017 will be years of stronger expansion into the Vietnamese market. We anticipate bringing in several new models this year, including: the legendary Beetle Design 1.2, Beetle Dune 1.4, Jetta 1.4, Golf 1.6, Passat 1.8, CC Fastback 1.8, Scirocco R 1.4, Tiguan 1.4, Tiguan LWB 2.0, and Touareg 3.0.
4.Regarding the Volkswagen brand, which model are you most proud of? And which will be the strategic model for the company?Volkswagen Vietnamin the Vietnamese market in 2016, sir?"
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:All of our vehicle lines are important and have distinct customer segments. However, our goal this year is to focus on the Tiguan – a compact SUV with technology and design that completely surpasses its competitors in the same segment.
5.It is knownVolkswagen VietnamThey will be participating in the Imported Car Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City next October. So what is the reason?Volkswagen VietnamHe decided to participate in this event, and what are his expectations for an exhibition of such a large scale?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Volkswagen Vietnam is participating in a large-scale and professional auto show for the first time, as a way to reaffirm the Volkswagen brand's presence in the Vietnamese market and its commitment to customers. This is also an opportunity for us to connect with customers and introduce them to our best models and services.
6.So, can you reveal a little bit about the plan?Volkswagen Vietnamat the upcoming exhibition?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Volkswagen Vietnam will import and display new models launched in the Vietnamese market in 2016 and 2017. However, we also want to create more surprises for customers visiting the Volkswagen booth at VIMS 2016, so the detailed plan will be revealed later.
7.What are the differentiating factors (or, in other words, the competitive advantages) of the Volkswagen brand in the Vietnamese market compared to its competitors in the same segment, sir?
General Director of Volkswagen Vietnam:Our products in the Vietnamese market are based on three key competitive advantages: German quality, affordability, and competitive pricing. We continuously strive to improve product quality and after-sales service, offering Vietnamese consumers European products at Asian prices, suitable for a wide range of customers.
8. There is information about the merger of this brand into your group. Could you provide more details about this, as well as the reasons why you own Volkswagen in addition to the other luxury car brands you previously owned?
- At the end of 2015, Tan Thanh Do Group acquired the Volkswagen brand in Vietnam. With the brand's potential globally, its market share worldwide, and its quality and technology, we are confident that we can create a new breakthrough in the Vietnamese market for this brand.
