The new tour packages give travelers the opportunity to experience local culture in Malaysia.
According to Akbal Setia, representative of the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, the launch of these tour packages underscores the growing popularity of Malaysian durian and culinary tourism. With its distinctive aroma and unique spiky rind, durian has always held a special place in Malaysian culture. Durian-related tourism is thriving here, especially during the harvest season from late May to August. With these new tour packages, Malaysia offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in local traditions.
The country's tourism industry expects to sell around 2 million different durian-themed tours in 2024 and 2025, with the cheapest tours starting at US$15. Aiming to highlight the popularity and quality of these tour packages, visitors can find detailed information about durian tourism products on the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board website to learn more about this attractive program.
