From December 12th to 18th, 2016, fans of the blockbuster Star Wars series around the world using Uber could see real spacecraft directly on the app, replacing the traditional Uber imagery. In particular, previously unreleased footage would be exclusively shown on the app for users to enjoy while on their journeys.
Take control of your own X-wing Starfighter.
In Vietnam, specifically on December 16, 2016, with just a tap, users will have the opportunity to participate in one of the most amazing virtual reality experiences. The dramatic and surprising sequences in this 360-degree experience will allow participants to truly live in the vastness of the STAR WARS universe.
On this day, all #UberGOROGUE vehicles will be equipped with virtual reality glasses and special headphones with incredibly immersive sound. Users will directly control the Resistance's X-wing Starfighter in a 360-degree Rogue One: Recon experience on their Uber ride, participating in fierce space battles as an X-wing Starfighter pilot and facing unexpected bombardments from the Empire's TIE Fighter. Uber has also prepared several STAR WARS-themed accessories for users to enjoy and take photos with.

Step 1: Open the Uber app between 10 AM and 4 PM on December 16th.
Step 2. Tap on the "Drive your warship with Uber" section at the bottom of the app screen (remember to complete your previous ride review to see this section appear).
Step 3. Select GOROGUE Request

Step 3. Slide left to select the GOROGUE line.

In addition, users also have the chance to receive attractive gifts: a pair of tickets to see the newly released Rogue One: Star Wars spin-off movie nationwide.
- The first 100 users who take a photo and share it on Facebook (public mode) with the hashtag #UberGOROGUE will receive a pair of tickets to see Rogue One: Star Wars Story.
- An Uber employee will accompany the passenger in the vehicle to provide guidance and support, therefore a maximum of three passengers can be allowed per trip.
- Demand for #UberGOROGUE rides will be very high, so users should request multiple rides to have a memorable experience.
- Each bus can only carry a maximum of 2 movie tickets.
