“Why not Vietnam” is a 30-second spot co-produced by CNN International and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. After efforts to fight Covid-19 in 2020, the image of Vietnam and its people received positive attention on international news sites, and was voted by many prestigious travel magazines as one of the safest destinations in the world in the post-pandemic period.
“Safe” and “Privacy” are also two important keywords in the upcoming campaign to develop Vietnamese tourism. It can be seen that the places introduced in “Why not Vietnam” are mostly peaceful cities with a slow pace of life or unspoiled destinations.
Ngo Mon Gate - Hue is the first place to appear in "Why not Vietnam"
Floating market culture is an indispensable part of the promotional campaign.
Old apartment buildings are also introduced as a new tourist experience.
The video ends with a heartfelt invitation: “When you're ready to travel again, why not Vietnam?”

The film will be shown for 6 weeks, from October 15 to mid-November on CNN Asia as well as the official website of Vietnam tourism (www.vietnam.travel) and social networking sites.
