Originating in New York City in 2022, the global "Connect to Turkey" campaign carries a noble mission: to reposition the national brand and celebrate the human heritage values existing in Turkey. After making its mark in leading cultural and economic centers around the world, on December 13, 2025, the campaign officially arrived in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the context of global tourism moving towards sustainable values and in-depth experiences, "Connect to Turkey" in Vietnam opens up a mystical yet open space of Middle Eastern culture right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. The biggest difference of "Connect to Turkey" is its vibrant art space. Here, attendees not only hear about growth figures but also truly touch the "soul" of Türkiye.
Turkish Airlines held the Connect to Türkiye event in Ho Chi Minh City.
Under the skillful hands of chefs from Do&Co – the company behind the exquisite meals on Turkish Airlines flights – a culinary journey unfolds. It's the rich, intense aroma of world-renowned Turkish coffee; the delicate, smooth sweetness of legendary Turkish Delight (Lokum) candies; or the crisp, refined texture of Baklava brimming with nuts and honey. Each flavor is like a chapter in the millennia-old culinary history of this land.
The attraction also stems from the visual arts space, where local artisans directly demonstrate their unique skills. The public had the opportunity to witness firsthand the mesmerizing Ebru water-painting technique and the exquisite detail in each brushstroke on İznik pottery – artistic symbols recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This was not just a performance, but a tribute to UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage, offering the Vietnamese public an authentic and appreciative glimpse into the essence of Asian and European art.
15 years and the stature of a "giant" in the sky.
Behind these cultural experiences lies Turkish Airlines' sustained connectivity strategy in the Vietnamese market. Looking back at its history, from December 2010 when the first flights connecting Istanbul and Ho Chi Minh City took off, to the expansion of the network to Hanoi in 2016, it's clear that Vietnam has always held a crucial position on the airline's flight map.
The event was attended by representatives from travel agencies, airlines, and media outlets in Vietnam.
By Winter 2025, a frequency of 10 passenger flights per week is not just a number, but a testament to the ever-increasing demand for trade and tourism. In particular, this airline also plays a vital role as a transportation link with 10 regular cargo flights per week (8 to Hanoi and 2 to Ho Chi Minh City), contributing to the promotion of economic flows between Vietnam and international markets.
Turkish Airlines' growth is an inspiring story of scale. From a humble domestic airline with just five aircraft in 1933, over nine decades later, this elite member of Star Alliance has grown to operate a massive fleet of 515 aircraft. With a network of 356 destinations across 132 countries, the airline not only transports passengers but also carries cultural values across borders.

"Connect to Turkey" in Vietnam is not only a milestone in promoting sustainable tourism, but also an affirmation of Istanbul's role as a bridge. With its unique geopolitical position, Türkiye is striving to shorten geographical distances, making Istanbul the most convenient "touchpoint" for Vietnamese tourists to access the world, especially Europe and North Africa.
Concluding the event, what lingered in the hearts of each guest was not only the image of a leading airline, but also admiration for a nation that knows how to preserve its heritage as a springboard for the future. "Connecting with Türkiye" is connecting with a brilliant civilization, through the tireless wings of Turkish Airlines in the skies of Vietnam.
