On November 28, 2025, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau (TTA) officially announced singer-actor ISAAC as Taiwan's Tourism Ambassador for 2025 at a launch event held on the Dosm Elite of Saigon cruise ship along the Saigon River. With his professional image and strong influence among young people, ISAAC is expected to be a suitable representative to convey Taiwan's cultural values and tourism appeal to Vietnamese visitors.
ISSAC was announced as Taiwan's tourism ambassador on the Elite of Saigon cruise ship on the afternoon of November 28th.
The luxurious yacht setting provided a fresh approach to the event, attracting media representatives, travel companies, airlines, and a large number of fans. Besides the ambassador announcement, the program also featured special interactive performances, with ISAAC singing a series of songs associated with his name. The outdoor stage on the yacht deck created an intimate atmosphere, allowing the artist to connect directly with the audience and share his feelings about his new role.
At the event, a tourism promotion video for Taiwan, produced by ISAAC, was also introduced for the first time. The video was simultaneously shown live on the Sky 3000 LED screen located along the Saigon River.
Through a journey of musical inspiration across various iconic regions of Taiwan, the work explores distinctive soundscapes: the sound of waves on Peace Island (Ke Long), the vibrant rhythm of life in Lukang Old Town (Changhua), the youthful atmosphere of Pier-2 Art District (Kaohsiung), and the traditional melodies of the Bunun ethnic group in Taitung.
The combination of scenery and sound is designed to help Vietnamese audiences experience Taiwan from a more vivid and emotionally rich perspective.
During the event, the cruise ship sailed along the Saigon River, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river.
Mr. Derek Chou, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, stated that ISAAC is an artist with a trustworthy image and has previously collaborated with Taiwan on the music video "I've Really Forgotten," a product that left a strong impression on the industry. He expressed his hope that this renewed collaboration will continue to generate positive attention from the Vietnamese public.
According to the Tourism Authority of Taiwan (TTA), the number of Vietnamese visitors to Taiwan continues to grow. In 2024, 370,000 visitors were recorded; in the first nine months of 2025 alone, the number exceeded 330,000, an increase of approximately 15% compared to the same period. The TTA stated that it will continue to strengthen its promotional activities and develop many creative media projects to make Taiwan an attractive cultural, culinary, and tourism destination for Vietnamese visitors.
