Club Med, the world’s leading premium all-inclusive holiday brand, has had a resilient 2023 marked by impressive growth and financial results. Club Med’s 2023 results have laid a solid foundation for its market leadership in global Sun and Snow tourism, with a positive outlook for 2024.
In the East Asia, South Asia and Pacific regions, Club Med has achieved new successes with strong demand for its luxury resorts.
Club Med has achieved new successes with strong demand for its luxury resorts.
This growth can be attributed in part to the phenomenon of “revenge travel”, as well as the success of the ski and mountain business (+75% compared to pre-pandemic). This success is confirmed by the opening of Club Med Kiroro Peak in December 2022, a new mountain resort in Hokkaido, Japan, along with a diversification strategy that has introduced new ski destinations, especially those in European mountain regions.
Looking back at the 2023 results, Rachael Harding, CEO of Club Med East Asia, South Asia and Pacific, commented: “Club Med’s outstanding results are a testament to Club Med’s role as the market leader in luxury, all-inclusive resorts, particularly at our mountain resorts. By reimagining the brand’s reputation with the new campaign ‘That’s l’Esprit Libre’, we will continue to create experiences that allow guests to completely detach from the worries and mental burdens of everyday life and fully enjoy the present moment.
This will be achieved through a redoubled focus on the quintessential value of a Club Med holiday, where harmoniously designed spaces, cleverly arranged sports and cultural activities, a distinctively diverse festival atmosphere and a team of Club Med ambassadors and professional staff from many countries around the world have been associated with the image of the luxury all-inclusive resort brand for decades. With a strong expansion plan, Club Med is ready to serve current and future guests."

Club Med's 2023 business results have laid a solid foundation, consolidating its market leadership position in coastal (Sun) and mountain (Snow) tourism globally, along with an optimistic development outlook for 2024.
In a statement, Bruno Courbet, Country Manager for Thailand and Emerging Markets, commented: “This growth is a testament to the uniqueness of Club Med’s all-inclusive offering, which is particularly notable in our ski destinations. With over 15 ski resorts in France and numerous Club Med locations worldwide, we have successfully diversified, expanded our portfolio and enhanced our success. Looking to 2024, we expect further opportunities to diversify. With the increase of direct flights to family-friendly destinations such as the Maldives, Bali and Lijiang, we are strategically positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers, underscoring our unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled holiday experiences.”

3. The joy of vacation in snowy places
In a Club Med snow holiday study involving 3,500 respondents, there was a consensus that snow holidays are growing in popularity, thanks to the joy of winter sports and the allure of snow-capped landscapes. The desire to escape the monotony of daily life in the tropics motivated 45% of respondents to take part in these snow holidays. Exploring the culture and cuisine of the destination also added to the appeal, with visiting local attractions, enjoying local specialties and convenient ski rentals being some of the most sought-after extras for snow holiday lovers. Notably, over 80% of respondents agreed that a snow holiday was not only extremely convenient but also offered a wide range of activities, making it worth the money.
These results are consistent with and reflected in the strong growth Club Med recorded in 2023 and is expected to continue growing in 2024.
