On March 26th, in Hue City, the Vietnam Railway Corporation, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism, and the Da Nang City Department of Tourism jointly organized the inauguration of a dedicated regional train service between Hue and Da Nang and vice versa, named "Connecting Central Vietnam Heritage Sites".
The launch of the Hue - Da Nang regional train service not only contributes to ensuring transportation connectivity for people between Hue and Da Nang but also provides an exciting experience for tourists visiting these two cities, which are both ancient and modern, among the best in the country.
On March 26th, in Hue City, the Vietnam Railway Corporation, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, and the People's Committee of Da Nang City jointly organized the inauguration of the Hue - Da Nang tourist train and vice versa, under the name "Connecting Central Vietnam's Heritage".
Upon arrival at Hue and Da Nang stations, local authorities have set up automated bicycle rental systems in front of the stations, accessible via QR code scanning, to facilitate tourists' visits to scenic spots. Notably, Thua Thien Hue province is also offering discounted fares for organizations and individuals visiting tourist attractions in Hue (applicable once per train ticket). Regarding the specific schedule, Vietnam Railways Corporation will operate two pairs of trains, numbered HD1/2 and HD3/4, between Hue and Da Nang. In Hue, train HD1 departs from Hue station at 7:45 AM and arrives at Da Nang station at 10:35 AM; train HD3 departs from Hue station at 2:25 PM and arrives in Da Nang at 5:40 PM.
In Da Nang, train HD2 departs from Da Nang station at 7:50 AM and arrives at Hue station at 11:05 AM; train HD4 departs from Da Nang station at 3:00 PM and arrives at Hue station at 5:45 PM. Passengers wishing to purchase tickets can access the website.www.vetau.com.vn.
The plan to implement the "Connecting Central Vietnam Heritage" train is one of the efforts to connect the region and promote tourism by the local authorities of the two provinces and cities. It is a new product, marking the beginning of transportation business products combined with tourism services that Vietnam Railways will implement in the future.
