The project is a collaboration between the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Traveloka Vietnam to address the current overcrowding situation at centralized quarantine areas. Prices, room types, and room availability are public and updated regularly.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has 72 hotels (5,565 rooms) used as medical quarantine areas for people entering the country. These facilities have also received people at high risk of Covid-19 infection (F1) for quarantine at a 10-20% discount. The list is approved by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and is regularly updated atelectronic portal.

Since the social distancing under Directive 16 on July 9, Ho Chi Minh City has had 395 more hotels (13,426 rooms) register to be paid F1 quarantine sites. Of these, 117 hotels (5,328 rooms) have been approved to establish centralized quarantine areas and are eligible for use. The remaining are in the process of being assessed. In addition, 164 hotels (4,541 rooms) have registered to serve frontline medical staff fighting the epidemic at subsidized prices.

"In order to ensure the requirements of Covid-19 prevention and control and encourage hotels to change their business models, when participating in this program, the Department of Tourism also supports hotels and system users to be exempted from posting information fees, free services for the first three months and receive other incentives in the following months with online payment methods," said a representative of the Department of Tourism.
