This year, KTO is especially encouraging travel writers, including journalists and power bloggers, to write about winter travel in South Korea. Writers can share their experiences or fond memories of winter in Korea. After their articles are published on media outlets (for journalists) or personal Facebook pages (for power bloggers), the authors will be selected to be two guests on KTO's special Famtour trips in 2018.

For the large number of Vietnamese tourists, KTO also organizes online events, encouraging independent travelers to participate with prizes including a trip to South Korea and many other attractive gifts.

In 2017, South Korea's tourism sector continued its goal of attracting international visitors. Despite facing difficulties in the Chinese market, other key markets showed steady growth, particularly Vietnam. As of October 2017, the number of Vietnamese visitors to South Korea reached 272,564, a 29.7% increase compared to the same period last year. This is currently the fastest-growing market, with stable double-digit growth since the beginning of the year. Recognizing the potential and importance of this market, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and local authorities in South Korea continuously conducted tourism promotion activities in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, especially in the final months of 2017.
