Vietnam - the meeting point of connecting journeys
During more than a year of living and working in Vietnam, Ms. Kyoung Hee Kang - Country Director of Korean Air had the opportunity to travel to many cities, most recently Quy Nhon in August and the ancient capital of Hue in early September. Each place she visited left her with strong impressions of the people and culture there.
“Vietnam not only has beautiful natural landscapes, diverse entertainment activities and unique cuisine, but also has geographical proximity and cultural similarities with Korea. That is why many Koreans choose to travel here,” she shared.

Not only is it a personal feeling, the numbers also clearly demonstrate that attraction: South Korea is currently the second largest international tourist market of Vietnam, with more than 3 million visitors in just the first 9 months of 2025. Many Koreans see Vietnam as an ideal resort, where they find familiarity in cuisine, newness in landscape and hospitable smiles.
From Seoul, Korean national airline flights have been taking tourists to five cities in Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc. Currently, the airline has launched charter flights to Da Lat, opening up opportunities for new journeys of discovery.

In the first half of 2025, the number of passengers between the two countries continued to grow steadily, with the Ho Chi Minh City - Seoul (Incheon) route being the busiest. This strong growth not only reflects the demand for tourism but also shows the increasingly strong connection between the two economies of Vietnam and Korea. "Our goal is to continue providing reliable and high-quality services, contributing to strengthening the connection between Vietnam and the world," said Ms. Kyoung Hee Kang.
More than half a century connecting the Vietnamese and Korean skies
Ho Chi Minh City was one of Korean Air's first international destinations (1969), even before the airline launched services in the Americas in 1972. Since then, new routes have been continuously opened: Hanoi in 2001, Da Nang in 2012, Nha Trang in 2014, and most recently Phu Quoc in 2023, marking the airline's continuous development in Vietnam.
