Le Bijou is a luxury hotel chain with 42 properties across Switzerland, including major cities such as Zurich, Zug, Berne, Basel, and Geneva. In response to the decline in tourism due to Covid-19, the hotel chain has introduced a premium package for guests requiring quarantine. Their target customers include tourists stranded in Switzerland, and even locals wishing to experience luxury quarantine services.

The quarantine hotel rooms used in this package are of the highest quality, approximately 100 square meters in size, and fully equipped with amenities such as: sauna, hot tub, fireplace, work room, and gym. Except for housekeeping, the entire hotel can operate automatically without any staff, minimizing contact between guests and strangers. Guests are provided with a dedicated app, connecting them with 24/7 remote support staff to order meals from private chefs...

These isolation rooms are all designed to be personalized for each guest. Guests will be greeted upon entering and their favorite songs will be played automatically. The hotel's motto is "wherever you are, Le Bijou will make you feel at home." For walks, dinners, or airport transfers, the hotel provides luxury cars with large-screen TVs and mini-refrigerators. In addition to luxury cars, the ultra-VIP service can even include a helicopter if requested.

The package can be customized, adding services such as doctor's visits, in-room COVID-19 testing, and 24/7 nursing care. If a positive result is obtained, guests will be transferred to a hospital for specialized medical care.
With such top-notch service quality, the average room rate per night will start from $600 USD, equivalent to approximately 14 million VND or more. Other additional costs include: $500 USD for tests, $800 USD for health checkups twice a day, and $5,000 USD per day for 24/7 nursing. Therefore, a two-week stay package will cost from $6,000 USD to $77,500 USD, equivalent to 140 million VND to 1.9 billion VND.

Alexander Hzigner, CEO and co-founder of the hotel chain, said: "On March 20th, only about 5 guests booked the package. However, by March 26th, that number had increased fivefold in a single day. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the average length of stay for guests was 3 days, but now it's from 2 weeks to 2 months."
Mr. Alexander also encouraged guests who have tested positive for COVID-19 to self-isolate at home, following government guidelines. All rooms will be cleaned before and after arrival, and trash will be collected and removed daily. Cleaning staff will also be equipped with masks and gloves.

In particular, this hotel is committed to providing free or discounted accommodation for healthcare workers until the pandemic ends. Services include rooms, private spa treatments, and drinks at the bar.
