Not long ago, the press and media continuously reported that France had brought its citizens from the epidemic area of China to quarantine at a luxury coastal resort in the South of France. However, now, this story is not only in France, but also in Vietnam, there are at least 3 luxury hotels/resorts that have been used by the Government as quarantine areas in the campaign to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
1. Hoi An Beach Resort – Quang Nam
On March 16, Quang Nam province decided to use the 4-star Hoi An Beach Resort at 1 Cua Dai Street (Cua Dai Ward, Hoi An City) as a quarantine and Covid-19 prevention site for international tourists.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ban - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoi An Tourism Joint Stock Company, who is also the manager of Hoi An Beach Resort - said that Hoi An Beach Resort was handed over on March 16 to receive tourists subject to quarantine according to regulations of the Ministry of Health.
Hoi An Beach Resort is a luxury resort located in a spacious two-frontage position, close to Cua Dai beach, behind is the Cam Thanh coconut forest area. This is a luxury tourist resort with 4-star standard including 121 rooms facing the river and the sea, the resort also has many luxury swimming pools and convenient facilities.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province Le Tri Thanh said: "They come from far away to our country to travel, they just want to enjoy their vacation to the fullest during their stay. But the epidemic has changed all plans, the damage to these guests is huge". For the above reason, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province believes that organizing quarantine in a separate place, serving with good standards is to partially compensate for the damage to foreign guests.
2. Vanda Hotel - Danang
Previously, Da Nang also temporarily quarantined 40 foreigners of American, German, Hong Kong, Taiwanese nationality and 8 Vietnamese people at Vanda Hotel at 3 Nguyen Van Linh, Binh Hien Ward, Hai Chau District. It is known that this Vanda Hotel was originally the place where 2 British tourists infected with Covid-19 were staying.

On March 12, Sun And Sea Resort (formerly known as Abalone Resort and Spa; owned by EG Group) in Phu Vang district, Thua Thien - Hue province also agreed to let the province choose this hotel as a place to quarantine Covid-19 for 14 tourists.
Mr. Phan Thien Dinh - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien - Hue province shared: "The days of Covid-19 epidemic are passing. Quarantine behavior with tourists, especially foreign tourists who have been in close contact with infected and suspected infected people is an extremely complicated and sensitive story. However, the owner of Sun And Sea Resort - Mr. Trinh Quang is one of the very few people who immediately accepted the proposal of the provincial leaders over the phone, without hesitation."
