One of the things I enjoyed most while traveling across the United States was spending a day at children's museums in major cities. The curiosity made me feel like I was reliving my childhood amidst the modernity of these places...

Indianapolis Children's Museum (Insanity, Indiana)

As one of the most popular family-friendly destinations in this vibrant city, the Indianapolis Children's Museum is a non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of children everywhere. And that is certainly true, judging by the millions of artifacts on display here.

Certified as the world's largest children's museum, covering an area of ​​over 400,000 square meters.211 large galleries for children to explore physical science and nature, history, world culture, and art.

Minnesota Children's Museum (St. Paul, Minnesota)

Opened in Minneapolis from 1981 until 1995, the museum moved to a newly constructed building in downtown St. Paul and was subsequently renovated in 2017 at a cost of $30 million.

The "city museum" comprises largely repurposed architectural and industrial objects located in downtown St. Louis.

The museum building was formerly a factory and warehouse for the International Shoe Company but was largely abandoned until artist Bob Cassilly and his wife purchased it in 1993. Construction began in January 1995, and the museum opened to the public on October 25, 1997, attracting over 1 million visitors annually.

The highest rooftop is the main highlight, where children can freely climb and swing in the air inside cages. Families can also enjoy the Ferris wheel while admiring the city view from above.

Science City Museum (Kansas City, Missouri)

Science City at Union Station is a family-friendly, interactive science center featuring popular attractions such as the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium, the Planetarium, the City Extreme Screen theater, and over 120 interactive hands-on science exhibits for children.

Children of all ages will experience the world of science firsthand through engaging programs guided by experts. Utah Children's Museum (Salt Lake City, Utah)

Now known as “Discovery Gateway,” the museum is an interactive, hands-on children's museum located in the heart of Salt Lake City, spanning over 6,000 square meters.2The exhibition space attracts many families, especially during the summer.

The Utah Children's Museum was founded in 1978 and opened in 1983, initially featuring only eight exhibits. Some of these early exhibits included an excavation of elephant dinosaur bones, a Western Airlines 737 cockpit, a demonstration of an artificial heart, a frozen bubble box using dry ice, and a KSL children's news broadcast...

Everything at Discovery Gateway is designed for children. Exhibits on the museum's second floor include a music garden where children can play music together on a giant marimba. Right behind it is a miniature "town" where children can shop at the market, build structures, or feed animals on a Utah family farm, along with a dedicated area for children under three.

The third floor of the museum houses the “Story Factory,” where children perform actions to incorporate into a play, draw a comic strip, or create a slow-motion animation. Also located on the third floor is the meeting studio of the world of science, invention, and art. Most uniquely, the museum's outdoor terrace features a real Intermenez Health Life helicopter for visitors to learn about rescue operations.
