After Vietnam brought the Covid-19 pandemic under control, Quang Ninh, along with many other provinces and cities across the country, jointly implemented a tourism stimulus program targeting domestic tourists.

Quang Ninh province reopened for tourism on May 1st, offering free admission to many famous attractions such as Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu, and the Quang Ninh Museum, as well as discounts of up to 50% on accommodation, entertainment, and recreational services for tourists flying to and from Van Don International Airport at Sunworld Ha Long, Yoko Onsen, Premier Village, etc.
Many young people traveled together and checked in at Quang Ninh's scenic spots last month.

During this period of tourism stimulus efforts, the number of visitors to Quang Ninh has increased again, especially on weekends. The number of tourists ranges from 20,000 to 23,000 per day, and some destinations such as Thien Cung Cave, Ti Top Beach, and Dau Go Cave are even experiencing overcrowding. This is the first encouraging sign that the tourism industry in Quang Ninh province is gradually recovering after the Covid-19 pandemic was brought under control.
Co To Island has become a popular choice for many families since Quang Ninh province began developing a high-speed ferry route.
During the new normal period launched by the Government, Quang Ninh has implemented many solutions to stimulate domestic tourism, simultaneously combating the pandemic and ensuring economic development. Besides free entrance fees, discounted tours, and buy-one-get-one-free promotions, Quang Ninh has also launched new, high-quality, and attractive tourism products targeting domestic tourists, such as the Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh hot spring resort and 5-star high-speed ferry services from Tuan Chau to the islands of Co To and Minh Chau.

The tourism stimulus alliance initiated by Quang Ninh, with the participation of nearly 100 travel and related service businesses, has also clearly demonstrated its role in promoting tourism. All units are committed to reducing prices without compromising quality, creating conditions for Vietnamese tourists to enjoy the best products and services at the most favorable prices ever.

Before the stimulus policies were implemented, Ha Long Bay – one of the top tourist destinations in Quang Ninh province – only received nearly 1,000 visitors per day. Now, in just two weekend days, this heritage site has welcomed over 70,000 visitors, demonstrating the excellent effectiveness of the tourism stimulus program implemented by the province.
