Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1570/QD-TTg dated December 4, 2023, approving the task of formulating a plan for the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of the Ganh Da Dia National Special Scenic Landscape.

The planning study area covers 808.89 hectares (excluding the protected zone of the Ganh Da Dia National Special Scenic Area), located in Sub-zone 9, An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province.

The planning study encompasses the entire Gành Đá Đĩa National Special Scenic Area and its surrounding natural landscape, environment, and ecology. This includes tangible and intangible cultural heritage values, environmental landscapes, and related documents and artifacts; the management, protection, and promotion of the Gành Đá Đĩa scenic area's value; urban, socio-economic, and demographic factors; relevant policies and institutions; the current state of technical infrastructure and land use in the planning area; and the relationship with other relics, structures, and sites in the area to connect and develop tourism.

The planning objectives aim to fully identify and preserve the unique geological values ​​of the Ganh Da Dia scenic area; protect water resources, biodiversity, geology, geomorphology, and cultural heritage of the local community; and complete the system of records and data as a basis for digital transformation and automation in the management, protection, and promotion of the site's value.

To promote the value of Ganh Da Dia scenic spot, making it an attractive tourist destination for Phu Yen province, the South Central region, and the whole country; connecting with other historical and cultural relics and scenic spots in the locality, forming a chain of tourism products, combining protection and environmental conservation, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality and raising the awareness and responsibility of the community in preserving the unique values ​​of the scenic spot and traditional cultural heritage of the region.

At the same time, defining the boundaries of scenic areas for protection serves as a legal basis for management and protection; identifying functional zones, organizing architectural and landscape spaces, and arranging technical infrastructure in accordance with the stages of conservation and promotion of the value of scenic areas.

The planning serves as a legal basis for attracting investment resources; managing and protecting scenic spots and heritage sites in the area; preparing, appraising, approving, and implementing component projects on the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, and enhancement of the value of scenic spots; and developing regulations to manage and control the planning space, architecture, and landscape of the scenic area and surrounding areas, in accordance with the approved plan and other relevant plans.

The content requirements for the Planning Task include: Identifying research, survey, and assessment requirements for the current state of scenic spots; assessing regional linkages including: connections with urban systems, tourism, and residential areas in the locality; the location and role of scenic spots in the development of tourism in particular and the socio-economic development of the locality in general; identifying characteristics, constituent elements, spatial structure of the landscape, and other typical values ​​of the scenic spots...
