The ChaTraMue tea brand was founded in 1945 in Thailand by Mr. Tan Passakornnatee. Initially, ChaTraMue was just a small shop selling tea and coffee in Bangkok's Chinatown. Later, ChaTraMue developed and expanded its tea business nationwide, owning tea plantations and factories in Thailand.
Currently, ChaTraMue has 105 stores in Thailand, and is expanding into regional markets such as China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia, with approximately 43 stores.

In Vietnam, Thai milk tea has been available in many beverage shops for quite some time, but most only offer green milk tea, red milk tea, or Thai lemon tea. No shop has yet offered the full range of drinks on ChaTraMue's official menu. Therefore, when this brand entered the Vietnamese milk tea market, many people were eager to try ChaTraMue's unique and diverse selection of beverages.
Given its existing popularity and the word-of-mouth saying "you have to drink it when you go to Thailand," it's no surprise that ChaTraMue's launch in Vietnam has caused such a sensation.

The price of milk tea at ChaTraMue ranges from 55,000 to 60,000 VND per cup, while other drinks cost around 35,000 to 75,000 VND per cup. Although the prices are slightly higher than in Thailand, the taste of the milk tea is considered quite similar to the original. This is because the milk tea preparation process is kept the same as in Thailand to produce the most authentic and delicious flavor. The staff will brew the tea, filter it through a cloth strainer, then add condensed milk, cream, tea concentrate, and stir well. The order of the ingredients is not changed to produce a cup of milk tea with the authentic Thai taste.
