A brand-new tour invites visitors to experience a different side of Ho Chi Minh City at night.

The District 1 – Nighttime Colors Tour is one of the signature tourism products of Ho Chi Minh City, following the model of each district having its own unique product and contributing to the development of the nighttime economy.

Ho Chi Minh City has great potential for developing its night-time economy. The People's Committee of District 1 and the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with Vietluxtour Company, have launched a unique tourism product for District 1 - "Colors of the Night". This is also an activity within the program of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2023 (December 4-10).

This tour takes visitors to explore District 1 at night in a unique and novel way, featuring four nighttime experiences: enjoying culture and art; sightseeing and entertainment; nighttime shopping and culinary culture; and nighttime dining and wellness services, through destinations such as the City Theatre, the À Ố Show, Ben Thanh Market, and the Fine Arts Museum. The journey lasts approximately 5 hours.

According to Mr. Tran The Dung, General Director of Vietluxtour Travel, the District 1 - Night Colors tour is a signature product of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to increasing the competitiveness of the city's tourism in the strategy of developing new products for this destination, alongside more than 10 inner-city tourism products that the company has developed quite effectively in the post-COVID-19 period.

The programs will be designed with carefully selected tour times and destinations, updated to reflect the city's current conditions.

According to Ms. Mai Thi Hong Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1, the locality has proactively reviewed the system of tourism resources associated with famous cultural and historical values ​​to develop plans for connecting and building tourism routes.

Whether a tourism product is known and accepted by tourists depends heavily on the quality of the destination, the quality of the accompanying services, and the communication from the tourists themselves after experiencing these tourism products.

The District 1 – Night Colors Tour is one of Ho Chi Minh City's signature tourism products, following the principle that each district should have at least one distinctive tourism product. Simultaneously, this product contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of tourist destinations, increasing visitor attraction, boosting spending, extending length of stay, and leveraging the advantages of nighttime services.

Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, noted that during the process of economic and social recovery and development after the COVID-19 pandemic, the contribution of the night-time economy to the recovery of tourism in Ho Chi Minh City is very clear with its commercial, service, tourism, and entertainment activities.

In the development plan for each district and county to have a distinctive product, the city's tourism industry has set out a follow-up plan to add a night-time tourism product to each district and county to diversify the city's offerings.

With the launch of the District 1 - Night Colors signature tourism product, the city will diversify its tourism offerings, increasing the number of unique tourism programs to 60, making them unmissable experiences for visitors to Ho Chi Minh City.

Developing nighttime tourism products is a prerequisite for other districts and counties to exploit the value of tourism resources to attract tourists and "light up" the nighttime economy in the city.
