Ho Chi Minh City has great potential to develop the night economy. The People's Committee of District 1 and the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City cooperated with Vietluxtour Company to launch a typical tourism product of District 1 - Night Colors. This is also an activity within the program of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2023 (December 4-10).
This tour takes visitors to explore District 1 at night in a different and new way with 4 night experiences, including: Enjoying culture - art; sightseeing - entertainment; night shopping - culinary culture; night food service - health care through destinations such as the City Theater, the A O Show art program, Ben Thanh market, the Museum of Fine Arts... The journey lasts about 5 hours.

Mr. Tran The Dung - General Director of Vietluxtour Travel said that the District 1 - Night Colors tour is a typical product of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to increasing the competitiveness of the city's tourism in the strategy of developing new products of this destination, in addition to more than 10 inner-city tourism products that have been developed quite effectively by the enterprise in the period after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The programs will be designed with selected tour times and destinations, updated to suit the actual times of the city.
According to Ms. Mai Thi Hong Hoa - Vice Chairman of District 1 People's Committee, the locality has proactively reviewed the system of tourism resources associated with famous cultural and historical values to have plans to connect and build tourist tours.
Whether or not a tourism product is known and accepted by tourists depends largely on the quality of the destination, the quality of the accompanying services and the communication of the tourists themselves when experiencing these tourism products.
District 1 Tour – Night Colors is one of the typical products of Ho Chi Minh City tourism in the direction that each locality has at least one typical tourism product. Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism commented that in the process of recovering and promoting socio-economic development after the COVID-19 pandemic, the contribution of the night-time economy in the recovery of tourism in Ho Chi Minh City is very clear with commercial, service, tourism and entertainment activities.
In the development plan, each district has a typical product. The city's tourism industry has proposed a follow-up plan that each district has an additional night tourism product to diversify the city's products.
The announcement of the District 1 typical tourism product - Night Colors will contribute to diversifying the city's tourism products, increasing the number of the city's typical tourism programs to 60 attractive programs that tourists cannot miss when coming to Ho Chi Minh City.
Developing night tourism products is a premise for other districts to exploit the value of tourism resources to attract tourists, to "light up" the night economy in the city.
