BBC promotes tourism in Da Nang.

11/06/2020

The international television channel BBC will promote a 30-second video about tourism in Da Nang, broadcast on the BBC channel in the Asia-Pacific region to hundreds of countries.

After more than three months of stagnation, Vietnam's tourism industry is on the path to recovery with a stimulus alliance and the "Vietnamese People Travel in Vietnam" campaign. Launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in early May 2020, this program has helped the tourism landscape gradually shift to a brighter picture.

Most major tourism, travel, and accommodation businesses are preparing new, high-quality products and services, especially with deep discounts and promotions, to stimulate tourism demand.

As one of Vietnam's key tourism markets, Da Nang's socio-economic activities have gradually recovered and returned to normal; the number of visitors to the city has gradually increased again. Da Nang has allowed the resumption of fire and water displays at the Dragon Bridge and the rotation of the Han River Bridge to contribute to supporting the tourism industry in implementing solutions to stimulate tourism demand.

Meanwhile, the tourism industry is also coordinating with ministries, departments, and localities to prepare plans for welcoming international tourists back to Vietnam once the COVID-19 pandemic is under control in some key markets. To prepare for the international tourist market, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center has signed a cooperation agreement to promote tourism with Global Book Corporation - the official media representative of the BBC international television channel.

With this agreement, the BBC will promote a 30-second tourism video of Da Nang, broadcast on the BBC channel in the Asia-Pacific region to hundreds of countries. The video will be shown daily for one month (June 2020), with 98 broadcasts during prime time.
