The People's Committee of Da Nang City has announced a tourism stimulus plan called "Danang Thank You," in coordination with the "Wonderful Da Nang 2020" festival program. This plan upgrades the annual "Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous" event into a unique festival to serve residents and tourists in 2020.
Accordingly, as of May 18th, nearly 120 businesses had registered to participate, offering discounts of 30-50% on tourism services. It is estimated that the total cost for tourism businesses, airlines, private tourist destinations, restaurants, hotels, transportation companies, cruise ships, and other service providers participating in this tourism stimulus program will be approximately 15-20 billion VND.

The Department of Tourism also recommended that the city soon implement specific policies to support tourism businesses and supplement the stimulus package to create a unique appeal to attract tourists to Da Nang. At the same time, they suggested considering a policy of waiving or reducing entrance fees for tourist attractions managed by the city. To achieve good results in stimulating tourism, the Da Nang Department of Tourism proposed waiving 100% of entrance fees for tourist attractions managed by the city, including: the Marble Mountains, the Cham Sculpture Museum, the Da Nang Museum, the Fine Arts Museum, etc., for a period of 3 months from the time the city controls the epidemic and allows them to reopen.
At the same time, Da Nang City also supported the costs of visual promotion for the Da Nang tourism stimulus program 2020, supported media coverage of Da Nang as a destination, and introduced products and services on television to attract and stimulate domestic tourism.
In addition, a number of 3-star and 4-star hotels near Da Nang beach are offering significant discounts on room rates. To make things convenient and attractive to guests, most of these hotels do not require advance payment, offer shuttle services, and provide free breakfast…
