On November 14th, at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoitourist Travel Company, in collaboration with OPENSEA Tourism Joint Stock Company, launched the BonBon City Tour, a travel experience steeped in the retro style of Hanoi in the 70s and 80s, along with many creative cultural experiences for tourists visiting the thousand-year-old capital.
The ribbon-cutting moment on the opening day of BonBon City Tour.
BonBon City Tour was created with the mission of preserving and developing the traditional values of Hanoi, while also infusing them with the spirit of the modern capital. Designed in the retro style of Hanoi in the 70s and 80s and operating on a Hop On – Hop Off model, BonBon City Tour aims to provide visitors with the most authentic, intimate, and historically and culturally relevant experiences of Hanoi.
The highlight of the BonBon City Tour buses is the exquisite blend of familiar, retro, yet modern design. The entire interior is specially crafted and decorated in the style of old Hanoi, with a classic yellow color scheme, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for visitors. The tour consists of two buses, each with a capacity of 22 people, and runs continuously from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily.

BonBon bikes, with their predominantly yellow color scheme, have a strong retro feel.
The bus travels through 23 distinctive tourist streets of Hanoi and stops at 9 locations, including: Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hoe Nhai Pagoda (stopping at Thang Long Espana Hotel), Long Bien Bridge (stopping at Serein Cafe & Lounge), National History Museum, Vietnam Women's Museum, Temple of Literature, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and Ho Chi Minh Museum.
Thang Long Imperial Citadel is where the event takes place, and it is also one of the nine stops on the BonBon City Tour.
Despite being a journey to experience ancient culture, BonBon City Tour is still integrated into the 4.0 technology era with its own mobile application (BonBon City Tour) available on iOS and Android. With this application, tourists can find out travel information, the highlights of the stops and surrounding locations. The tour also provides audio guides in 5 languages: Vietnamese, English, French, Chinese, and Korean.
The interior features details and objects that are very reminiscent of old Hanoi.
At the opening ceremony, Hanoitourist and OPENSEA also launched a new series of unique Hanoi cultural experience tours called Vietnam Rewind. With incredibly fresh and creative cultural tours such as Hanoi's Secrets with Film Cameras (experiencing Hanoi with film cameras), Resolving Hanoi (museum decoding tour), A Sip of Hanoi (Hanoi coffee experience tour), and many other exciting activities, visitors will immerse themselves in local life, personalize their cultural experiences, and fully appreciate the cultural essence of Hanoi, past and present.
Each seat is equipped with an audio device offering five different languages.
This tourism product also marks the collaboration between Hanoitourist Travel Company and OPENSEA Tourism Joint Stock Company, with the goal of promoting the hidden beauty of Hanoi's culture and contributing to building the capital's tourism brand in the eyes of international friends.
